I wonder how the series would have turned if they had not sold their souls to Microsoft.
Probably would have gone bankrupt, they were saying they were having financial issues with the company before they contacted Microsoft or vise-versa. And for the people who thinks Activision owns them like MS did, that's not true, they just publish their games. And now that they are no longer under MS they can make games for other consoles too.
Watching this makes me want to play all the Halo games in chronological order
Very inspirational stuff, I'm anxious to see what they manage to come up with their new game.
The games were never perfect, but it's the series I've had the most fun with ever. It's got 'that special feel' that I've never felt in any other game. And that's why it's my favorite series ever.
Halo 1 and Reach were the best games in the series but Halo 2 will always be my favorite due to nostalgia
But its 3am and I need sleeeeep
Halo 2 was the first Halo game I played and I quickly became addicted and it was my favorite series for quite awhile, I then got Halo 1 and then when Halo 3 came out I got that one too. Halo 2 will always be my favorite, I also enjoyed Halo 3 despite many people hating it. The Halo series soundtrack will always be my favorite soundtrack. ODST was horrible and Halo did not need to be extended and beaten out like that. Reach was better, but still did not compare and I didn't really enjoy it at all. Halo should have ended at Halo 3.
I remember the first time I played Halo 3 I slept over my friend's house and we played the whole campaign nonstop until late at night when we completed it. it was also the first time I ever played an xbox, and I thought the graphics were mindblowingly amazing.
I loved Halo 3 when Foundry rolled along though. Endless maze-sword fights with buddies, and lots of great times with my Canadian buddy Ryan. Good times.
This is the thing, Bungie have always been the company that get close and personal to their community, show footage of their company, etc. Whereas companies such as Valve haven't really ever showed a video where they show how they make their games, what the studio looks like, etc. So when Bungie makes videos like this, it makes me feel very different as to what I would feel if Valve were to make something like this.

I like how Bungie handled what players wanted and whatnot. They wanted to keep players happy but also made it clear that they were going to go new directions instead of just sticking to the same formulas everyone knew. For example, take the guys who make the CoD games. They give the fanbase exactly what they want, more guns, more killstreaks, etc. but are too afraid of making any major changes, so the games play virtually the same throughout the sequels. The Halo games are the same at the core, but they always change something up bigtime each go around. If you were good at Halo CE, you could pick up Halo 2 and be pretty good, but it's a pretty damn different game so you gotta change your habits quite a bit. Same for the transition from 2 to 3. Bungie just knew how to keep the games similar enough to make fans not feel ripped off but different enough to provide a new gameplay experience. You can swap out all the latest COD games and play exactly the same in every single one. However, play some Halo 3 and then try to play some Halo 1. Your brain will probably shit itself as it tries to adjust to the differences. Now, I didn't necessarily agree with all the changes Bungie made (like the heavy auto aim in Halo 2) but I respect that they had the balls to make them.
I beat every halo on legendary and the first time I finished halo 3, odst and reach were on legendary. Its just something me and my cousin do every time a new halo game comes out. [editline]5th August 2011[/editline] Well one thing that I think feels the same through out all halos is there driving controls and whenever I get into a warthog I just feel like i'm playing the first halo. I hope halo 4 doesn't mess anything up.
Oh god I'd play Delta Halo so much just to play this song: Well, since I have it for PC, Ima' play Halo 2 again. I can't buy a 360, so I'm stuck with Halo 1 and 2, however I have both games for both platforms, PC and Xbox [editline]6th August 2011[/editline] This is also a very good song from the soundtrack: [editline]6th August 2011[/editline] I loved Halo 2 for the EASTER EGGS AND THE GLITCHES! Oh god that scarab gun, taking AAAGESS just to get a banshee through that tunnel on metropolis. And the skulls, the SKULLS, I had a account for nearly each one of them on Xbox.

Also when I first got the Scarab gun with my cousins watching, it felt like it was the greatest moment of my life. I never was able to get the IWHBYD skull on the xbox version. On the PC version, I used a trainer. I still didn't manage to get past those waves of elites after grabbing it and I never activated the skull. :v:
HL2Poo add me on steam, I really want that trainer, and maybe we could play some multiplayer
"Its good that Bungie dont wanna give up* because i love their games but thumbs up if you think they have fucked themself in the arse for joining with Activision we all know Activision games are always copied and pasted like Guitar Hero which died and Call of Duty which is dieing and i do not want this to Happen to Bungie," lol
I loved all of the Halo games, and how they helped bind my group of friends together.
Any one else remember how bloody excited they were when they saw the halo 3 trailer? I personally watched it over and over and over.
ITT: everyone nostalgia-ing over the halo series. Personally I loved all of them but I still remember that first halo 2 trailer where he opens the gate and flies into space. I had a timer on my computer that was on my desktop that was counting down the days, minutes, and seconds until release. Halo lan parties were the best lan parties
I only really liked the first two Halo games, but damn, that video was fucking brilliant.
I like how they used the Flood theme when Microsoft was mentioned. Maybe to emphasise its parasitic nature.
I fucking love halo. Anyway 28:40 When you see it.
I fucking love halo. Anyway 28:40 When you see it.
Can't see anything.
In seventh grade, me and my friends would play halo 3 all day and forge shitty maps on highground. Then foundry came out and...oh god. So many days we played that damn game. I miss those no worries time
I kinda wish they had talked more about the Marathon series. I wanted to learn more about the concepts and ideas that went into it. After all, it was practically the father of Halo.
Halo: The multiplayer is all the fun Halo 2: In it for the story. multiplayer was great too. Halo 3: Story only, multiplayer was good for a while, but eh. ODST: Story was great, mainly got it for firefight. Reach: I played a level and thought it was fun. Never got it though.
