it would be pretty hard to run away from the cops in the OP's situation, but it's not impossible. if you can climb, run fast and live in a urban/suburban area shaking cops is easy.

It's usually a pretty fucking dumb idea to run from cops unless you know you can get away.
Well the only way out was through the door the cop was standing at... So i figured tackling a cop and running out, with the other 4 to 5 people in the room there wasnt a smart idea.

update for anyone interested, Went into court, was the only guy wearing a suit. Bunch of niggers talking about who shot up who's house, and all their hood drama sat behind me, was entertaining to say the least, at first. Then it just got annoying as fuck. A big group of ratchet black bitches tried to fight outside the court room and i was just chuckling.
Got called up by the DA and judge, read the charges off, my lawyer cut a drug diversion program, and i got a misdemeanor marijuana charge, paraphania, intent to distribute, and breaking and entering, as opposed to the felony amount of marijuana. The program is 6 classes, once a week, 3 hours long. I go there, listen, learn, shut up, and get out. After that, im on 4 and a half month long unsupervised probation, which basically means dont fuck up. Get caught with anything, then my signature of guilt is admitted, and i get all those charges. Once the probation's done, all the charges are replaced with one misdemeanor marijuana charge, and that charge is dismissed. Court costs cut me out at $1500, parents fronted me. College's got back, i got into appalachian, and called up and let em know what was up with the charges. They called me back, and said that im good, and i already got an apartment up there for the first year.
Been sober since christmas, longest i've been in like 3 years. I can honestly say i didn't see pot being a big deal in my life, and it wasnt, per say. It just got to the point where, when i was bored I would go out and smoke a blunt, and chill with friends, as opposed to doing anything else.
I began smoking in 10th grade, but i had smoked a few times before then. I always had a habit of jumping headfirst into shit, if I liked something, I went big. First time I bought weed, i bought a quarter, and started flipping a little. That went on with me making about 200-300$ profit every week, which was good being 15, that was a lot of money. I kept hustling, then got caught by my parents with a little bit of bud. They flipped shit, and I quit for a while. Held it down. Kept my shit straight, if I smoked, it was someone elses bud, and i didn't go out of my way to do it. Then 11th grade rolled around, i started flipping again. I was the only white guy at school who had connecs to dank, so all the white kids bought from me. I got robbed, over a half ounce, didnt stress it though, cause i flipped another half ounce the next day. Shit kept coming, i kept smoking. My phone was like a straight rush, every time i looked i was making a 20$ flip, and it was great. On one of my pickups, i got fucked up on budder, and came home and passed out on my bed. Left the ounce in the car, and my mom found that. She busted in my room, crying, asking what it was. I knew she knew what it was, she just wanted an explanation. I sat there just with a look of fuck, i screwed up. My mom flushed it all down the toilet, straight from the dispensary. The next day i smoked. I was grounded to kingdome cummmin down my throat, and was still toking. My dad was deployed so my mom had to handle me, and with 3 other siblings she had a lot of shit to handle on her plate.
Then summer rolled by, i got of punishment. I started trapping again, and same shit, different year. Money was coming in, and my goal was to save money for college and a tattoo. It was a bit harder this year, cause more people were hustling, so i started cutting deals, and getting my name out. I threw grams for 15$, and gave an extra .2 for a week or two. I was barely breaking even, but then i cut it back to normal, and money kept coming. I got set up by a gang by a nigger bitch, came up with the half, she was looking at it with her boy, then he bolted off. I chased him down, turned a corner and there were 10 black guys there, one or two with a gun, so i just dipped back to my car and peeled out. My friend told me that day that was what i was doing really worth it if i got shot? I got pissed, wasn't shit I could do against a cliche of black bangers, so i kept flipping. I had my plan down pat though, i was gonna flip just enough to cover the profit of what i got licked for, then quit selling and just toke occasionally. But lo and behold, i got busted on christmas night, and all my plans, all my hopes got shot to shit.
I havent smoked at all since 12/25/2012, which doesnt seem like a long time, but for someone who burned an eighth every day at least, its fucking crazy. I really almost forgot what feeling sober felt like, it was kind of weird. The first week and a half, i didn't eat much more than half a sandwich over the entire day, and i had to force that down. Parents got me on strict shit, no car, no phone, nothing besides school, and a job that im hoping will accept me, even though i got like two felonys and some misdemeanors on me.
All in all, if i could change what happened, i would. But at the same time i wouldn't. I needed a little wake up call to get my shit together, and this was exactly that. Looking at it from my parents perspective, i would have beat the shit out of me long before now, and all the times ive been thinking they were pricks, they were just trying to figure out what to do with me.

After im in the diversion program, they replace whatever prior charges i had pertaining to it (Breaking and entering, felony posession, intent to distribute, paraphernalia) with one misdemeanor charge (Misdemeanor possession of marijuana) and that charge is dismissed as soon as its entered in the system.
All the other charges don't show up.
I could get the misdemeanor expunged, but its just a misdemeanor, and with north carolina law you only get one expungal. So i'm gonna save it, in case god for bid i get a manslaughter case in a car wreck or something serious, knock on wood.
All I've literally been doing now is going to school till 11, (half days, i could have graduated 6 months early, but i didnt feel like it because i couldn't walk with my class if i did) working out, and reading.
Shit sucks, but ay im not in jail.

If you read, it wasnt our property. A friend of ours, grandfather owned the warehouse. He is the only one who works there, and said it was cool if we went in, we had been going for months, and just happened to leave the bay gate door open. Door was open, lights were on, cops came in.,

well with the law system, your arrested and put in jail. if you can afford bond, you get out, until the court date. my bail was 20k, and i wasnt considered a flight risk, so i think they waived my payment of that considering my parents came.
Its all better now, but i cant wait to get to college, thats for damn sure.
If the charges aren't serious (I only had 2 misdemeanors), you can get out on personal recognizance. Instead of paying bail, I gave them my word that I would be at my arraignment. otherwise I would have a bench warrent for my arrest.
Wow, the US has very strong sanctions against pot smokers :S.
Here in Belgium, when cops caught me smoking a joint, they don't care... "Move away you're in a public place", "kay officers" (last time).
And in France, which has strong sanctions too, it's common to see young people smoking around, if they got caught, they're not arrested that fast but they have to pay and they have to go to the court.
The problem in the US is the fucking Drug Enforcement Admin. because its administrator believes that weed is stronger heroin or cocain!! That's crazy, guys, this administrator is a denier!
I don't understand the US war against drug, because when US troops arrived in Afghanistan, opium trafic restarted again (Afghanistan is now the 1st heroin producer).

Here in Northern Ireland if you ever get caught recently just run like fuck, there's too many riots going on for anyone to really give a fuck about a few stoners. If you do get caught you just get your name taken down, if you get caught twice more in the same month you get put on a curfew. (Speaking as an under 18 of course) But I always thought the US was quite lenient wow
