If they're in an urban centre, pigeons tend to be far more accepting of people. In london, you can walk past them and sometimes they don't even move.
In Sheffield, they are so lazy it's hard not to walk them over =/

I'm pretty sure most birds can turn their heads 180 degrees, but at the beginning his head was probably stuck for some reason. You were nice for fixing it.
This is kinda related and not related but one time when I went camping I found a squirrel with a bleeding leg and I fixed him all up while I was there and after I fixed his problem he would follow me around the woods and sleep by the tent and like sit on the arm of the chair that I was sitting in while sitting by a fire.
D'aaawwwwwwwww. In my hometown, pigeons are a huge problem, because they carry all kinds if diseases and there are way too many. They are overfed, overpopulated and sick, because people always feed and pet these flying rats. I would have stomped on it, give it a mercyful, quick death.
