And, OP, I would invest in a elementary education, your grammar gave me brain lesions.

I'd be ashamed to call myself american if I had such poor grammar. Shit english is my third language and I know it better than most americans. Shame on you.
Americans how many of you took coming to and moving to Canada seriously
Because I here and here lot's of people from Facepunch saying ""Canada Sounds Better and Better Every day alot""
I can say with relative certainty that when they say that they are joking.
American democracy is choosing your next ruler every once in a while.
Judging by your post, Canada must have a pretty bad education system. So no.
It's not too great in America either. The education standard in most countries is too low, in my opinion. In fact, I'm pretty surprised by how grammar-savvy most FPers are.
I went to Niagara Falls over the summer.
Realistically, if I did move to Canada after whatever nation-crippling thing happened, I'd end up poor, homeless, and digging through a dumpster for scraps of food. I'd much rather be in a home than in a box in some alley in Toronto.
dude, just go eat out of a dumpster outside a Timmy's!
So desperately want to put inb4 but I'll get banned. Again. For the same reason.
But yeah sounds better than England
I hear Scandinavia is a utopia.
You guys are missing out, Canada is about as good as it gets. Say what you want, but living here my whole life has shown me how lucky we are. Every country has our back essentially, we have amazing healthcare, the landscape/cityscapes are fucking beautiful, and the Vancouver Canucks ARE NUMBER ONE IN THE NHL BABY
I'm sorry, but if asked "would you rather move to America?" I'd say "fuck no, I'm proud to be Canadian".

See what you've been missing

But Stephen Harper is a fucking IDIOT
People who think Canada is some utopia in comparison to the United States is simply ignorant. Canada bears the same problems than anyone else. I lived in Canada for four years and it was neither a vacation nor arduous living. Canadians can be as stupid and thick-headed as Americans, and can share the same amount of blind nationalistic patriotism as Americans.
I currently live in Florida, and I'm originally from Minnesota. I loved my stay in Canada, but there were also plenty of things I hated. More than once have I been descriminated on the basis of being American. Which is simply stupid in any regard. I don't hate Canada for her flaws, anymore than I hate America's (People are too narrow-minded to consider how many flaws Canada actually bears; the health care system for instance can easily become a convoluted mess as I've discovered on numerous occassions).
People (Especially those on Facepunch) need to accept the fact that Canada, like anywhere else in the world is indeed flawed. And if you're only going to address the positives of a place like Canada without considering the negatives: Stop talking.

:golfclap:
Finland was awarded best country in the world. Come here instead.
I've been to Canada one time and I really enjoyed it.
I would never move there, though. But I would visit again.
Finland was awarded best country in the world. Come here instead.
I think its easier to move to a country within your continent
At least Canada actually offers some basic human rights.
Quit complaining. If you're from America, you enjoy a fuckton more basic human rights than a lot of the world does.
Canada pretty much England except that youn can have guns and are not watched on CCTV camras net of the time :v:
I think its easier to move to a country within your continent
More importantly, within your language.
Canada isnt that good eh
Canada is awesome
award goes to iceland, obviously

Banff, Alberta, Canada.
I want to visit there someday. And maybe climb one of those mountains.
Closest to the truth. We canadians have our own problems, but we also have our unique perks that make us great, same goes for the US.
Also Ben where did you live for those 4 years?
I was in Calgary, Alberta.
Canada has too much snow. Now I live in New Hampshire, so I already experience a lot of snow during Winter. But Canada can only be worse. Other than that, it seems like a nice country. I don't absolutely HATE snow, but when it causes lots of problems, it becomes an obvious burden.
The landscape is nice in Canada, and I am obsessed with the Country and not really being around a City type of Infrastructure.
But I prefer the United State's laws and all of its rules and stuff. They seem to fit what I like.
Canada is a good neighbor and a valuable partner but I prefer the greatest nation in all of history, my home.
ugh
[editline]17th April 2011[/editline]
Also, saying "I'm moving to Canada ASAP" isn't a serious statement. It's more like just a way to express how frustrated some of us get with the US government.
my brain hurts from this thread
I never understood people who don't like to live in America. I live in a second world country, and this place is a shithole compared to the US, we have 200$ payroll, corruption, and a bunch of assholes for a government. Learn to appreciate what you have.
Well, with that spelling I'm not taking you seriously.
I like America just fine, as long as I keep my head out of all the political bullshit it all works out great for me. Beautiful Country, nice people, not a hard place to live, I have everything I'd want here, why leave?

People can criticise their government. Just saying you're a step up from a second world country, doesn't make you a good country, it makes you better then a second-world country.

It's not just "better", it's beyond comparison.
