as opposed to how it's marketed as "let's kill assholes"? I really can't tell if this movie has an actual underlying plot or if people are just assuming it does.
It's kind of marketed to both. It's not so subtle but it kinda paints the guy as an idiot since in the trailer he gets diagnosed with cancer, then his first thought is "Better kill these people"
apparently that was kinda the point, or so ive heard. at least during the production, that is. maybe they made it seem more like they were doing the right thing so that itd appeal to a larger audience
well i'm glad i didn't misinterpret it then. usually i think too deeply about that sorta shit and end up missing the point. the movie is good, but only good with that interpretation, a satire of a certain snobby, hypocritical "counter" culture.
This is the guy i'd imagine myself seeing in a coffee shop reading Machiavelli but making it obvious he is reading Machiavelli shaming the person next to him who is reading the 5th harry potter book, berating her for being a mainstream sheep.
that's what this entire movie is. I don't know what you guys are seeing in it as "satire", this entire piece of shit and its director Wildcat Goldstein fully believe in its pretentious, godawful rambling that's equal to an old man who yells at kids to "get off his lawn" and reminisces about the days where society was more pure and throwing stones at black people was fun.
god this movie was so fucking terrible. the ranting was non-stop. it blew it's rant load right at the start, and it just kept going and going throughout the whole film. save the rant for the final sequence. don't open the movie with the biggest rant and just sprinkle the rest of the whole movie with them.
I liked the movie. It was just what we all wish we could do sometimes
I liked the movie. It was just what we all wish we could do sometimes
Yea if you are a sociopath.
The trailer is actually pretty different than the movie. So dont expect anything like the trailer.
That movie was terrible (imo).
I thought it started off well but just drifted somewhere I didn't quite understand.
I went to see that movie last year with a group of friends and personally I liked it very much, it gave me quite a lot to think about, but what I did absolutely despise was that the friends I went to see the movie with started to preach their own interpretation of the message to everyone, even posting quotes on their Facebook walls, I mean come on now, I know it may have been an eyeopening movie for you, but if you start preaching it everywhere, you're no better than the pop-culture idiots in the film itself.
