dammit deathwig we almost had a STAR RAINBOW COMPANY :v:
company star rainbow, wat
you need two stars, two rainbows, and one company
I'm not sure if the STAR RAINBOW COMPANY jokes are because of the name of the manufacturer, or because SRC products really are that bad. I haven't yet skirmished my T91, but from what I've heard about SRC, its earliest Generation 1 stuff was horrible. Its Generation 2 was much better, and was comparable to many other low-mid tier manufacturers like Classic Army and Echo 1. And then the Generation 3 line is pretty good, fixes most if not all the flaws from earlier generations, but pricey. Is this true?
a little bit of both really i've held a star rainbow 47 and rpk and they both feel like mediocre guns
I've no idea, I just like the name STAR RAINBOW COMPANY.
From what I've heard, Classic Army (at least the M4s/M16s) is like, the best stuff you could ever get. This is probably incorrect?
i have a GenIII SRC AKM it's extremely mediocre, but expensive
From what I've heard, Classic Army (at least the M4s/M16s) is like, the best stuff you could ever get. This is probably incorrect?
Yeah that's incorrect. The metal bodies are alright, but not the greatest looking. Internals are mediocre or straight up horrible, it really hit or miss. I've been lucky with mine, but the parts that usually go first on them are the pistons, wiring and motor. For the best looking M4s you go with G&P.
How are the CA AUG A1's? :v: Just want to know before I buy a mediocre gun, I know CA, being CA might be hit or miss nowadays in terms of performance.
How are the CA AUG A1's? :v: Just want to know before I buy a mediocre gun, I know CA, being CA might be hit or miss nowadays in terms of performance.
I hear the CA AUGs are awesome.
Won a CA AUGA2 back in the day when they raffled off good prizes. It was a good gun, just not for me. Couldn't get used to the whole back heavyness of it, it's very unbalanced. Also CA AUG hicaps feed like shit in my experience. Better of with TM (my only alternative at the time, we didn't have clone guns back then) or taking the risk with some ACM mags. Also the battery compartment doesn't give you much room to play with. All I could fit in there back in the day was a 8.4v mini or 9.6v nunchuck. These days I would go straight to the largest 7.4v lipo I could fit in there. I will admit the dual stage trigger functions a hell of a lot smoother than the JG does. You can also make the AUG a silent killer. Search around online for mods on how to dampen the sound of the gearbox by using some sort of sound dampening foam on the inside of the body. The results are impressive.
From what I've heard, Classic Army (at least the M4s/M16s) is like, the best stuff you could ever get. This is probably incorrect?
So incorrect. They cost far more than a G&P and their internals are basically JG quality. Externals are pot metal junk in my opinion too.
and don't even get me started on the shitlines
Ender, how was the range? Think It's worth it, or should I get a KWA G36C?
CA motors burn rather quickly/easily ;__; I had to replace my SCAR motor twice; the first time I replaced it with another CA motor...
CA motors burn rather quickly/easily ;__; I had to replace my SCAR motor twice; the first time I replaced it with another CA motor...
What a coincidence, my Classic Army G36k's motor burnt out in 3 months on a 9.6v battery. It probably made it all the way to 3000 rounds. If I hadn't been like 13 at the time, I could of fixed it up, but I merely assumed that the world was ending.
CA are generally poor quality in my experiance, SRC guns are also made out of DU. I held one of their 416's and somehow despite being carbine length was around 4kgs in weight. It was built like a brittle shithouse, he's had an ok run with it though it's just so damn heavy for no reason.
(my only alternative at the time, we didn't have clone guns back then)
CA's used to be considered upper shelf guns, what happened?
God I remember when I first started airsofting CA was the shit and magpul wasnt on every kids and their hamsters M4
CA's used to be considered upper shelf guns, what happened?
Because back then we thought that any metal was good metal. Trust me, I was excited as shit when I realized I was going to get a Classic Army for Christmas, and while it worked I was very pleased. Then my friend got a series 1 Echo 1 G36c and my visions of superiority went out the window. To be fair, mine was certainly a little better than his, but the difference is that his still works while mine crapped out a very long time ago and about $200.
But keep in mind that a lot of breakage is due to poor maintenance, lol. We should probably clean our guns more than we presently do...
I need to clean my F2000 barrel like shit but i can't find the damn cleaning rod.

However, not good enough :D I *was* waiting for all my internal upgrades to arrive, so now just need to find time to put them all in haha... Simple stuff you will definitely probably want to change out... - Cylinder, OMG stock one is wtf? doesn't even sit properly (at least mine doesn't) - Air Nozzle is REALLY bad.... - I changed my spring guide to a metal bearing one, up to you... - Sanded & dremeled my upper receiver tabs so it comes apart like a G&P/TM M4 - I prefer rear-wiring mine so I bought a Madbull ACE lipo tube... You probably want to open up your gearbox and re-grease/shim it anyways since it seems the SRC T91s from airsplat have been sitting there forever :D
Airsplat is having 50% off all STAR RAINBOW COMPANY guns
maybe because no one wants to buy them

I've removed both receiver pins, and it won't come apart. I also can't get the buffer tube off.

and then e1/jg was #1 usa

I don't know how they put them together, but it sure doesn't facilitate taking them apart.
