What's a PBS-4? Is that the official designation for the "Kobra" reflex sight? I kind of want something that looks like a cmore or "Kobra". Just like that little circular look, I guess.
Speaking of AK attachments, can anybody tell me what that flash hider in this picture is? This 74U is similar to the setup I eventually want with my 102. Sorry, I'm not so savvy with Russian weapons and gear.

A PBS-4 is an AK suppressor and that's what's on the AK in that picture.

Except I'd be running it with the bakelite and black 5.45 mags because I don't have, nor do I want to buy any waffle mags for my 102/5.

I think it would look better with a normal upper handguard and microaimpoint on a sidemount rail, but w/e it's your gun
Some types of russian suppressors are very hard to find (or not even made). Kobra red dots are too, but they are quite expensive. Having some rails on an Ak is ok, but overkilling it with them is a no- no. And speaking of Ak attachments I got a Tip-2 (PSOP lookalike). I'll post picks in a little bit.

know a guy whose a&k 249 has been through four years of abuse, getting thrown in mud, etc (the rear sight is literally caked in mud) and it's still running perfectly besides the obvious shittolicious hopup
he hasn't cleaned it, regreased it, reshimmed it, anything
on the other hand his upgraded xcr fucks up every five seconds

Yeah, the big thing that weighed in my decision to buy the M60 was that it just works and keeps on working- I read a guy near me in PA went through about 80,000 rounds before even opening the gearbox. I'd say definitely upgrade the hop-up bucking, it makes a big difference.
I am considering upgrading the spring and barrel, or installing a higher-torque motor and better piston head, to go for either range or rate of fire, simply because people assume that because it's an MG it has better performance than normal AEGs; and being able to either suppress from long range or spam rounds up close would be very effective. I'm leaning towards the former, since it's less stressful on the gearbox, won't chew through ammo as quickly, and I think better fits the role of the M60. The only problem with that is that the ROF is already somewhat low for an MG at 15rps, and I'd be concerned about it going much lower with a stronger spring.
A&Ks gearboxes in general are built like tanks. Shit fucking works no matter what

What's the FPS on it?
I'm not sure. i think it was 330 fps with .25. I got a new spring for it so we'll see how it shoots then.
