To be fair though they work perfectly fine and there's nothing wrong with them functionality wise. I used one my friend used to own when all my guns decided to not work once and it was alright, felt a bit odd to use those sights on a full stocked AK but it made me realize how much i love those sights.

The only AR in my arsenal that I like anymore is my GR16. The rest were all highly disappointing.

That shoots 500 FPS out of the box and is basically unusable right off the bat, can't hit the broad side of a barn, and needs to be refinished to even look right (assuming wood AK here), when I have something already that cost me nothing but an old gun I can't use anymore and don't like, and actually works quite well? I will need to seriously overhaul any CYMA to even get it up to speed to be useful for me. Assuming it even came at a reasonable FPS, it would still require work to be usable, and I don't have money for upgrades right now.

My CYMA ak74m (CM.040C) shoots hot out of the box yes, (430 expected, shoots around 460-470), but damn it's fucking accurate as fuck, and I have done nothing except accidental hopup settings (the bolt pulls some pin on the hopup back and forth when you use it), and it looks fine. Gonna use some sandpaper to get some nice weathering on the metal parts, same with the metal magazines I'm buying later.
Just because you maybe had one bad CYMA rifle, doesn't mean [U]ALL[/U] CYMA is bad.
Mine RPK on ASGI said 420FPS but the Chrono sheet said 382 waaah

Depends on the model. Every CM.040 I've seen shot 430 stock, they use M130 springs. CM.031s I know are weaker.
My CM048 was shooting like 460 out of the box...
JG G36 is at 370 out of the box.
My CM040 shot 465 out of box, after a spring change and some other basic maintenance, I got it to a consistent 380.
Jomt, I was talking about AKMs specifically (my first choice). The default wood just looks kind of meh to me without proper treatment. High FPS is a problem because I have no money to pay in tech fees, for a new spring, or to pay for broken parts/lost parts/ect. in case I bungle something while trying to open the gearbox. If they're not accurate out to at least 150 feet or at least have epic trigger response, then they're not good enough for the typical gameplay here.
And aren't you not allowed to mod your internals?
