But yeah, I'm mostly okay with things like that as long as they actually compliment the gun's design and intended use, not slapping magpul crap all over it for the sake of doing so.
If it were my choice, I would have gone with some kind of light-medium power scope and a cheekpad. Maybe even a muzzle brake.
It's a DMR in BF3.

first off my iphone destroyed the resolution of the picture so i had to resize it and that didn't go well

the accessories are my dad's since he's SWAT in the LAPD he uses an m4a1 so we can practically share the same shit and are as follows
a series of the ACOG, has a red crosshair in the middle without the range markings 'n shit
and a tac light mounted with picatinny rails on the front sight

Originally I painted by hand using acrylic model paint, before spraying it with a couple thin layers of Testor's Dullcote to seal. Over time, however, it started chipping- mostly because my method of transporting my guns and gear is a duffel bag where everything bumps and rubs everything else. When I was over at Timebomb's I noticed that the OD paint on his Kel-Tec carbine was impossible to chip off, and so he recommended Krylon Fusion paint to me. I sanded down the existing paint, got a can of [url=http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraypaintdepot/images/KRY4293.JPG]this[/url] stuff, Krylon Camouflage Olive, and gave the furniture a spray. The stuff bonds right to the plastic and stays there. I'll probably give it a couple coats of Dullcote tomorrow just to further seal it, but I don't imagine chipping is going to be much of an issue.
I love the Krylon stuff.
I swear by it.
