The thing that bothers me more is the lack of an emblem on the grip. I know it isn't necessary, but I think it looks too empty without one.

Thanks. Took some sand paper + wood finish to it, and was worried it looked bad. I might just buy those ugly "bakelite" MAG mags now and pretty them up.

So far I've revamped the internals (minus the motor I'm still waiting on) and cut the receiver so I now have a full bolt and the MP40 "safety"

It really annoys me about how true this is. When i bought the vietnam expansion for bc2, i was in absolute love with how they did the 1911. It's a thing i have with games; i need to find a game with a perfect 1911 and there is always something wrong. Bc2V came SO DAMN CLOSE. I was loving the textures, the feel it gave me, the grittiness of the dirt and scratches, and the sound (which is rarely horrible) was fantastic. It was all in check until.....i realized after a mag or two that they made the 1911 double action. Yes i know that colt did make the 1911 available in double action, but it never sold. I'm just glad it didn't kill it for me as i love how well they did with everything else...back to searching i suppose.

I just love traditional 1911's with a passion.

Same thing with AK47's and AKMs, i'm on an endless journey to find a game that creates a perfect, or really good rendition.
Oddly enough, i think L4D2 did a fantastic job on the akm, even though the gun you see in the game is some bastard child of 2 models of ak's. It has a great feel to it.

Alternatively i'm also on a never ending journey to find the perfect coffee mug...3 solid years later and i'm still fruitless in my endeavor.
