I thought that was a K98 for a moment. Looks good but i think you might've overdone it a little bit, especially on the flat surfaces.
I can see why the bolt + handle would get that much wear, but the front edge of the part the shells would eject from doesnt seem like a place you'd get much happening with.

I forget if i posted this or not but here's my shitty CYMA franken-MP5.
needs black tape instead of whatever that is
It's the only tape i had, it's just electrical tape.
I need more black tape, though. Yellow and green isn't ~tactical~
Uh its a battery taped to the side of a gun. The color of the tape really doesn't matter. It won't look amazing either way

Unfortunately the mags have some issues. The modified KA mags are both leaking, but at least they fire. The PMAGs on the other hand are having issues. It seems like they sit higher up than the KA mags, causing friction with the bolt. This makes it nearly impossible to remove the mag unless I have the bolt locked to the rear. I think this is also causing the mag to release all of it's gas on the first shot.
WA style mags make no sense to me. On the back of the mag where the hammer hits the valve there's this spring loaded piece that sits below the valve. When the bolt is forward this part is pushed below the valve. When the bolt is retracted that piece springs upwards. So when the gun is fired, that valve gets depressed and that piece below it springs up and prevents the valve from closing. I think this is the cause of my PMAGs not working. Honestly it doesn't make any sense, I don't have any other GBB weapons that have this
Piece depressed, valve closed. This is what it would look like with the bolt forward.

Valve open, piece blocks the valve from closing. This is what it would look like with the bolt traveling to the rear.

Now my question to you, fpair, is should I go the big boss route or spray the lower frame tan or OD, keeping the controls black.
I say as is, or do silver slide.

Their 1911 mags have a similar feature. I'm not sure how it works, but the premise is that somehow that acts as another form of disconnector and helps the mag release the same amount of gas on each shot regardless of how much gas is in the magazine.

My AK looked like that two years ago or so.
Twas dank.
It's a cm040. The finish is actually really good, compare to old cyma's pure black crap. I appreciate all the complements on my mags.
i want an 040 and paint the grips plum or replace with wood

Where can I get wood handguards anyway?
is it TM or VFC style

VFC.

Personally, I'd get surplus ones as they're the best/cheapest.
