Now do you understand why I have so damn many of these? Also, get some o-rings mad quick before the extractor gets damaged.
What size?
Like 80% I don't buy a shotgun is because the decent popular models made for Airsoft like the one pictured above look like shit to me. It has the cheap walmart springer look to me, even though it's definitely something more.
I'm already making a wood forearm for it. I think the railz look hella dumb
im going to take the rail shit off and get / make a new forearm for it also maybe a stock
I think I'm going to pick up an Chinese M500 after Blacksheep. It'd be fun to blow people away with that ridiculous spread between allyways.
The ACM M500 is probably the most skirmishable shotgun in airsoft. 5 pellets per spread with a pretty good FPS, handles green just fine, holds a ton of BBs and doesn't need shells. Worst part is that the gas efficiency is mediocre so it drops in power after five to ten shots, but if you keep a gas can on you and top it off when you switch barrels (every ten shots) it's still quicker than reloading shells and does the job. Also compatible with real steel stocks and furniture, which is pretty cool. I still want a Marushin 870 at some point because shell ejection is really cool.
What size?
I always forget my measurements on these. Basically, the outer diameter of the o-ring should fit inside the "cup" on the top of the shell. This way, when you stretch it around the shell, its very snug and it should be even with the rim of the shell. So long as the o-ring is the same width as the shell rim, and its very snug, its the right size. They should be a pain to stretch on, especially if you have no fingernails, and you need one for each shell, which isn't bad since its like 10 for $2ish at Home Depot. However, there's also the full stock M1100 which looks proper, the woodstock version which looks excellent, and if we can make Felix do it for all of us, wood kits for the Revision :V
The ACM M500 is probably the most skirmishable shotgun in airsoft. 5 pellets per spread with a pretty good FPS, handles green just fine, holds a ton of BBs and doesn't need shells. However, The 6mm Marushin version is infinitely better than the ACM if you can afford it/find it, because its more gas efficient and leaks less.
Best airsoft purchase in the history of airsoft purchases.
lol i have a spring shotty that looks just like this why does the 870 have to be the worse choice than the m1100 or whatever
lol i have a spring shotty that looks just like this why does the 870 have to be the worse choice than the m1100 or whatever
Because semi-auto is greater than pump, regardless of how magical a pump is. Also, keep in mind that this model sells for whatever reason; there used to be over a half dozen variations of both the M870 and M1100 available for sale, and for some reason this is the one that still gets sold.

I think because of me destroying CQB City with my M500 they banned gas shotguns, sad. Really I think their concern was the FPS if it fired a single shot, but usually the FPS is so low when it shoots 5, like maybe 250fps tops. I would of kept mine if they allowed me to use it. But since I can't I sold mine. Probably the most overpowered weapon I've ever used in CQB, as seen in this video. I prefer the full length but a pistol grip I may be able to put on a one-point and run it alongside my M4 and sidearm. [editline]18th April 2012[/editline] Sorta like this guy. Not sure if the Maurshin is too long or that's exactly what he has and if having it like that means it'll be constantly swinging around and banging into things and my legs. From looking at people holding the pistol grip version it's only three or four inches shorter than the full stock.

They both have the same volume of gas that can be held and ammo capacity. Having a pistol grip version on a single point sling will probably bang all over the place, especially if you go into a run. There's probably some better ways of securing it, but if you're going to use it as a secondary then definitely go with the pistol grip.
tie it to your backpak liek in cawadoody 4
[thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/2012-04-18_05.14_.39_.jpg[/thumb] I had some white paint and primer left over from painting my MICH white, so i painted my two broken springers white for the cosplay side of my ApSci loadout. I really like how they came out, especially the way the mag on the G36 and the grips on the M9 contrast the rest of the body.
You should've left the stock and trigger assembly/magwell black.

I took the full stock off mine and stuck a pistol grip on. A one-point sling would probably bang into things; what I'm running next game is a cheap shotgun scabbard attached to the back of my vest with MOLLE. And it's definitely more than three or four inches shorter with the pistol grip, definitely at least half a foot and probably around 7 or 8. The stock is pretty big.
My plan to secure my one pointed stuff while running is to keep a paracord or other kind of band tied between the front and back of my harness, so I can just slide stuff in between that and my side. Not gonna be too comfy, but its only gonna be for short distance running anyways.
...And the result goes here, thought it'll be more suitable than chat thread. I'm pretty fucking proud. Even tho I've done some mistakes (ie didn't press the masking tape hard enough, resulting in fucked up borders between colors), I still like it.
