Yes, I know, Magpul is the devil, but I plan to ditch the rail covers sooner or later for TD ones, and the pmag is actually pretty nice. As for the AFG, I was surprised to find that my gun handles much better now versus my old verticle grip, and it seems more comfortable on top of that. Not sure what to do with my Eotech, it feels like snap aiming is easier further up and the added stability from the AFG is helping that along.

I'd move the sight a bit back if I were you. Would look better and perhaps function better (since some sights have lesser parallax the closer it is to your eye)
That's the thing folks, I think it's actually working better for snap aiming when positioned farther up. It does look weird though.
Personally I like the look of sights way forward on the gun, but from a strict practicality standpoint it's a bad idea as your sight picture is too small and you get parallax issues.
For CQB I imagine it makes a lot of sense, as your dot will appear much smaller and won't cover small things, such as people poking around corners.
Still ugly as fuck though.

actually because of reflection and magic the reticle becomes bigger the further up you put it
