the US actually just leaves all their small arms overseas because it's cheaper to make new ones than ship them back.
Notsureifserious.jpg
We've been doing that since Vietnam. Probably before then actually; although before we used the arms we left overseas to arm the new governments that were created there

If you ever want to sell that CZ75 for cheap I'll definitely buy it :D
Nice, I guess I'm not the only person in the world who liked olive drab furniture.
If i ever get an AK74 i'm painting the furniture like that too. Are solid folding stocks a common feature on them, or are those hard to find?
Solid stocks are pretty common, I prefer skeletal folding stocks due to being less bulky, but I like the looks of solid stocks and they can house larger batteries.
Ak100s always have solid stocks
CYMA makes an AK-105 with a skeletal stock (the CM.031). I've seen real steel AK-100 series rifles with skeletal stocks, it's a very simple aftermarket modification.
the CM.040B also
the US actually just leaves all their small arms overseas because it's cheaper to make new ones than ship them back.
We used to do that. A buddy of mine who is in the Army says that every piece of equipment is accounted for and meticolously organized with individual serial numbers and if a NOD or something goes missing the entire battalion stops and doesn't do anything until it is accounted for. He did say however, a relative of his was in the Korean war and said they would dump all their leftover equipment into the ocean while going home, and just use empty troop carriers as target practice and sink them in the ocean. Now I can't account for that but think of every picture you see of modern day troops coming home, they always have their service weapons slung and unholstered along with their duffel bags. My same Army buddy was issued a brand new M4 when he got back to Germany after his first deployment, and kept that M4 until he returned to Germany and was let out of active duty. And yes we did sell/give a large quantity of used M16A2s to the new Iraqi Army, so we do do that. But we don't just dump all of our shit in a pile anymore like you saw in Lord of War.
I can mail a box with the dimensions and weight of a rifle to any country on Earth for < $50. There is no reason in the world why it would be cheaper to make new ones than ship them back.
Shit in the tube and send it back to those capitalist scumbags.
Load a 40mm grenade, pack feces in front of grenade Rig string to box so the grenade is fired when the box is opened by Evike
A well-worn AK looks great to me, but any other gun weathered, not so much.
weathered M16s look cool too.
Kinda.
I like mine the way it is :colbert: I could care less if mine is weathered or brand new; as long as I know it's comfortable and it shoots great
This is my Thompson M1A1. I currently in the process of making it look like a Fallout weapon, like the Hunting Rifle. I just finished on making it look ancient. I am planning on using a stencil and painting a random number on the stock. What else should i do to make it more post-apocalyptic and old?
Wear down the wood.
Well, it is simulated wood, but I plan on picking up a real wood kit pretty soon.
Wire wound tight around the barrel and grip. Electrical tape too.
Well I finally got around weathering my crappy plastic AKS-74U (yet it has a wooden stock :tinfoil:), so since it's all plastic I slightly dipped a torn rag into some silver paint and slide with it trough the edges of the gun. And for getting the "wood" (which, sadly, is also plastic :frown:) worn-out, is used some duck-tape and sand paper. It may not look the best, but it's surtenly a hell of a loot better then before. I think that ak has too many random scratches on it. Real rifles tend to accumulate uniform, clean wear on raised edges. Usually the worn parts are very uniform in color and pattern, not spotty, and scratches aren't that common.
