Why exactly do so many people put blue tape on AK mags? Is there some sort of significance?
I put blue tape on my M16 mags because thats just what was close to me at the time and I needed something to differentiate mine from Herf's so we don't get mixed up on whose mags are whose like we did every single time we went airsofting.

because spetsnazzi people tape mags together with magic blue taep or they do it to simgle mags proble because to keep track of wich mags etc etc

But you're forgetting they only use this tape because in Russia during Soviet times, all electrical tape was blue. There are other colors now but blue is still the most common.

As far as I know, very few people in the US have Russian AK's. Not saying you don't, but most are from Ukraine and such. I also figure that if you wanted the blue tape from Russia, you could have gotten it from the same people who imported the Russian AK.

Pretty much every former Soviet country uses legit Russian blue tape though. It was the only electrical tape they had in the Soviet Union. Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia and Bulgaria probably had different tape but Ukraine and Belarus would have the real blue tape.
