They'll break pretty easily, even the higher end optics. Both of my Aimpoints have been shot out in CQB fields at ranges of around 60 feet.
Even my friends real TLR-1 pistol light got the glass shot out.

The M4SD, SCAR-H, and FAMAS were all free guns from friends that didn't want them anymore. FAMAS has a broken magwell and is cracked on lots of parts, M4SD's battery went weird and had the burnt rubber smell coming from the crane stock; haven't used it since, and the SCAR-H is fine and dandy; wires were ripped when I got it, but used one of those twisty cap wire connector things and fixed it.
The CA SCAR-L finally crapped out; I took it apart and the gears were pretty much stripping or in the process of killing themselves, but I keep it around because to me it's an heirloom gun- it was from a friend, and was my first real non-LPEG AEG.
Pretty sure I could fix up the CA SCAR, should have some free time after next week.

Um, how good are you with gearboxes? I discovered the condition of the internals when I took apart the gearbox and it frustrated me and i wasn't able to put it back together :C

Got my MIAD grip on the T91. Why do Magpul parts look so natural on the T91 whereas on lots of other guns they look out of place or just plain overdone? Maybe it's the original handguard this thing has.... also swapped out the magnifier/eotech setup on my SCAR-H for an ACOG, and put that setup on the 105.
