Well, since my birthday is coming around I decided that Im going to buy myself a new M79. As a memorial to my old one, heres a little picture dump and description of the bastard that is my grenade launcher
It used to be a full stock Echo 1 M79

1: Vehicular kill count: 9. Mostly HMMWVs, but the occasional truck and technical
2: Red electrical tape: At one point used to hold the broken trigger guard on, trigger guard eventually fought its way out of the tape and made its way to freedom
3:Sling mount: Doesnt swing anymore due to being completely fused by rust

4: Broken saftey and barrel catch: The saftey is totally broken, and actually needs to be pushed forward and up and held in that position in order to fire the gun. The barrel catch swings about twices as far as its supposed to, and can actually fall off the gun if its knocked hard enough while the barrel is unlatched
5: Gorilla glue residue: The entire stock broke off of the gun at one point due to being dropped out of a moving truck, prompting the sawing off of the stock. After stock was removed, the pistol grip still wobbled, so it was gorilla glued to stabalize it. It worked for a while, then eventually gave way.

6: Missing rear sight: Snagged on a HMMWV door and was emancipated from its sight mount. Presumably got the idea from the trigger guard.
7: Missing front sight: Simply broke off one day, no idea why. It may have killed itself from loneliness after the loss of the rear sight.
Best part is that the thing still shoots fine, and will actually be handed down to a buddy of mine who will continue to use it.

It's not even AK fandom for me, sure I love the AK but it's not that. He comes into an airsoft forum, tries to essentially compare them to real guns. Bashes a weapon with what? Over 60 years of impeccible service? All because of it's lack of modularity? A design from a time where the only modularity on a service rifle would be your bayonet? Uh, no. The problem with the AK isn't lack of useless shit to bolt to it, it's that the size of the round isn't optimal for modern combat. The 7.62 was the first intermediate round, and while extremely powerful, has high recoil. The AK's poor long-range accuracy isn't because of the round, it's the low quality of most mass-produced AKs.
Also, if you actually looked at the internal parts of the STG-44 and AK-47 you'd see that they're totally different. They look similar, and they behave similarly, but that's because they use very similar ammunition.
And in any case, the performance of a gun is 90% the gun and 10% ammo- a DMR, machine gun, and assault rifle can all use the same ammo, especially when it's a heavier round like 7.62mm. Having several different ammo types for different weapon configurations is a big liability when you need to supply ammo to a field unit. There's a saying that amateurs study tactics, while experts study logistics. There's truth to it.
Don't get your gun knowledge from videogames.

Which is why the AK based RK-62 and RK-95 made by Valmet are some of the most accurate assault rifles in the world, they're not mass produced in a sweatshop. Most Finnish soldiers are able to get almost perfect scores firing the RK-62 at 150 metres at the end of their training because of how accurate it is.
Looks like somebody just got the shit beaten out of them with facts.

Well I missed the fun of somone getting thier ass handed to them.
So i bought my JG M4 s-system thinking, wow 400fps for only $140?! Sold! long story short I think I made a mistake. Any who she has served me pretty well so far but I think I will be investing in a new gun soon.
My accesories:
-4x zoom scope (so I can fill the sniper roll when need be)
-A 3500 round dual drum mag (electric)
-Foregrip (for use with drum mag)
-Truglow red dot sight (my rear ironsight broke off so I usually have the red dot on)
-Woodland camo painted by yours truely
-A sling off my SKS
-I have rails that can be screwed on but when I dont need them why carry the extra weight?

A Px4 is tempting to get to do a Dom Cobb loadout. Also why do people put such long range scopes on their M4s?
