it's not CG, just a shop

Just got my Type 89 back a few days ago. Time for some dirty pictures. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_10131.JPG[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1016.JPG[/t] With an EO Tech, it looks cool but I prefer it on my M4. I usually run ACOG on the Type 89. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_10221.JPG[/t] I just added this Left Side Selector Switch the other day. Makes life easier. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1014.JPG[/t] Trademarks! [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_10153.JPG[/t] Also, Bonus here is my current M4 setup: [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1017.JPG[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1019.JPG[/t]

[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1014.JPG[/t]
Leftie bro? [editline]14th August 2012[/editline] no wait then you would want a selector on the other side [editline]14th August 2012[/editline] good thing I'm ambidextrous and don't care that much
The Type 89 selector switch is by default on the right side like an AK for example. The M4 has it's selector switch on the left side, which means you can use your thumb to manipulate it which is really nice. I'm still right handed, but now I don't have to remove my hand to switch fire modes.
shading looks CG cause its shading from a different photo. It's Taiwaneseprick's. See the "07" in silver on the optics?
the shadows give it away, they go in the wrong directions.
Naw, that shading looks CG, and the top SCAR is his VFC.
It's taiwaneses mk17 :v: He wanted to have a ~group pic~
I think an Aimpoint would look the best on the Type 89.
That was actually my opinion too, only with a straight mount though. But due to budget, I haven't bought one yet and those optics have grown on me. After I buy 700~ worth of JGSDF stuff I'll worry about.

See the "07" in silver on the optics?
Yeah, it's my SCAR, but the numberings have changed now! The "07" on the Eotech has been changed to "10", the "07" on the magnifier has been removed, and there's a "03" on the stock now. To represent October 3rd, my friend's birthday. Also to match my T91, while has been renumbered to "04"-"19" aka April 19th, my girlfriend's birthday. [t]http://i.imgur.com/wvCql.jpg[/t]
now you cant forget
I forget if I ever posted this or not, but Operation: Meanest Looking Shotgun Ever is complete:
needs a wire stock or something with spare shells on the side
And a heat shield
needs a wire stock or something with spare shells on the side
Wire stocks are gross on shotguns. If I did anything, it would be an EBR stock or one of these: http://www.dentrinityshop.com/pr_details.jsp?pid=8904
And a heat shield
RIS is a heatshield too, and would totally block the install of any other one I've seen.
make it work
ris looks kinda gross tbh
gun looks bent
ris looks kinda gross tbh
More function than anything else, I needed a place for the laser and MP7 sights. Other RIS systems don't fit well and/or look bad.
gun looks bent
Welcome to the world of shotgun barrels. They're smaller in the front so they always look bent.

Yes, that's my Mosin sling. The AK sling's metal hook doesn't work with the railed handguard. Also thinking about leaving the lower handguard tan and the upper black, I think it looks kinda cool.
I'd put the flashlight on the left side so you can move the foregrip back a little
You want the flashlight on the right like you have it so that when people shoot at the light they hit the air next to you as opposed to your center.
I just said left for ease of turning it on and off since there's no pressure switch
Yeah, what I would do, if its comfortable, is swap the grip and flashlight placement, so that I can punch the toggle switch with my pointer fingers while maintaining the hold on the grip. Also, the flashlight will be more forward and illuminate less of the gun.
I'm experimenting with placement of the light. For whatever reason, the mount won't fit on the side rails so I have to have it on the bottom. I've been switching between light front/grip back and grip front/light back. They both have disadvantages though. With grip back, I get some left-arm chicken wing. Not much, but some. With grip front, it's more comfortable for my arm but less for my hand.

Should be pretty dang comfy and allow you to still hit the light.
Oh shit, that sounds perfect.
