First in the U.S to buy a WE SVD ACE, bought it from Dogtag Airsoft. Mags and scopes come in next week, so I'll probably pick those up then. Now I feel like I need a good insurgent or Russian loadout for it. Expect a video of it within the next week or so.
Yes, we all know the orange tip is ugly as fuck. WE wasn't kind enough to include a metal flash hider so I'm going to have to buy one of those too.

It shoots damn hard. Kick feels like more than my old WE M14, and it's a lot louder. Accuracy seemed good when I used it in the indoor range at Dogtag. Was hitting targets consistently with only a couple of misses. FPS ranged from 430-460fps, but since it's semi only it should pass at fields with special sniper rules.

While I'm sure its fun to shoot, I don't think you can make a good DMR off of something with 30 fps deviation, that's really disappointing.
Maybe there'll be upgrades for it, but this is why I don't own any gas sniper weapons.
If you get really bored, you could always tap the magazines to feed off a dual regulator external rig and have super consistent FPS though.

First shot or two was 460fps. The rest were consistently in the 430's.
Manual says 21rd capacity.

Did some testing with the SVD today. Definitely shooting hot. First 2 shots were in the 540s, then a in the upper 400s, settling around 440-450fps.
I have a very weird issue with my SVD though. After every shot I fire, the bolt locks to the rear, despite still having ammo in the mag. I've even set the mag to dry fire mode and the bolt still locks back. Even though it's locked back I can still pull it and release it just fine and fire again. I swear it makes no sense. Both of the SVD's I tested at Dogtag did not have this issue. I'm guessing mine is just a lemon or something.
Worst case scenario, I just remove the steel part on the bolt that engages with the bolt lock, or pull out the bolt lock itself.

Is there even a bolt lock on the SVD IRL?
no bolt catches on any rs AKs unless you count the aftermarket mags with a locking follower (that unlock as soon as you take the mag out anyway)
