let me call my expert
...
yeah I have no idea what the fuck im doing, but im getting there.
Guess what, fuck all of you guys:
I made this project specifically to prove my ability to predict the future.
But no, its a Marui Glock with almost all of the parts replaced. I kept the hammer and trigger assembly and replaced every other part of the gun. Also, there's bullshit involving buying stuff I can't use. Apparently my slide takes real steel sights, so the red dot and rear sight adaptor I bought don't fit, and then I needed to buy $100 Tritium/Fiber-Optic hybrid sights and $50 worth of tools for sight removal and installation. Also, WE mags don't fit so now I need to buy more of those.
Oh yeah, I placed like 4 orders overseas, so I probably spent around $100 in shipping.
i think it's cool and all, of course
i just thought it would be a little more....
ground shaking?
Something like... i dunno, a badass P* FAL or somefin

Well, that's your fault, I told you guys it wouldn't be exciting. Then, when people started guessing if it was going to be anything super custom, I said:
No these are all fairly inexpensive projects that I can fully realize. The nutso expensive stuff will be end year or like January/February.
Keep in mind, you guys were the ones who voted for it, and I'm not sure what you were expecting from something labelled a "small project". It was a project, and its about the tiniest gun you can effectively stuff $1000 into.
I was expecting pistol frrom the first picture of the sights.
as a gun nut, I was relatively impressed because it was... an actual glock with trades, double action/safety/glock trigger, and assuming the slide is metal
simple but cool (albeit at a cost)
[editline]20th November 2012[/editline]
none of that wannabe glock shit like the ATP etc

holy crap $1000 in a pistol? How on earth can you stuff THAT much money in parts and components into the gun (not counting tools, mags, parts that cant be used) dam for $1000 you can build a top-of-the-line aeg.
EDIT: I'm not saying your project was completely worthless and a waste of money, I think its pretty cool. But it kinda blows me away that you can spend $1000 to build your own gbb pistol.
yea, spend that $1000 in the SR-3 :v:
I have to say though, $1000 ain't nothing compared to other hobbies like cars and shit, if it's a hobby he likes, he can spend as much as he damn well pleases to do what he wants; if it was up to me I'd buy the FSB rossia glock slide and that'd bump it up to ~500+ already :v:
Or real guns...I've got $2500 leaning against my wall, plus another ~$150 in a can next to that, plus the remnants of another ~$500...

People spend upwards of $2000 on IPSC pistols.

Slide is aluminum with a steel barrel. Also, the Guarder G34 kit I used is the only Marui Glock design on Earth that takes real steel sights, which is really neat.

I have several "top-of-the-line" aeg's and most of the time they're extremely boring to use. Heck, most people consider my MP5K's to be ridiculous in terms of performance and they're only like $250.
I mean I have like $2000 invested in gas shotguns and parts, and probably a similar amount in AEGs.
Considering I have the most fun with GBBs its time to show them the same amount of love.
yea, spend that $1000 in the SR-3 :v:

I'll be spending way more than $1000 on the SR-3 thanks to $50 midcaps and $80 hicaps, but that plan is still a go for some time in January/February.
Also, here's a breakdown of how I spent all this money on this gun:
Redwolf order 1: TM Glock 17 with 15% off $134.30 + $29.82 shipping = $164.12
Redwolf order 2: TK twist barrel and Guns Modify extended Slide lock $52.73 + $17.11 shipping = $69.84
Airsoft Global order: Guarder G34 slide kit + Guarder enhanced frame + Guarder extended slide stop + Guarder enhanced loading nozzle + Guarder steel magazine catch $246.50 + $53.52 shipping = $300.02
eHobby Asia order: Silverback red dot adaptor + firefly cylinder set + 3x Glock Magpuls + Nineball bucking and the ehobby discount $78.95 + $19.00 shipping = $97.95
Evike order: WE 50 round mag + WE standard mag + G&P 230 lumen M3 light + G&P reflex sight and 18% off coupon $135.30 + $14.42 shipping = $149.72
Instore purchases: Truglo TFO sights + front sight tool + punch set + taxes = ~$159
So, $133.87 in shipping, $129.39 in stuff I can't currently use, and $940.65 total spent. Now I'll also need to be buying more TM mags, another spring or two, and take it to a solid tech if I can't get it shooting perfect myself.

That's definitely better than all those magpuled and railed M4's out there. I'm loving the classic look, keep it that way. Looks kind of like the CAR-15's the Israeli's use too.
I was kind of going for the Blackhawk Down look.
But thanks!
Vandy is mad because he did rangers not delta LMAO scrub.

I like it a lot, but I think it would look very nice with the camo paint job.

I know its always tough to decide weather (pun intended) to weather your gun or not, because you have to commit your optic, gun and accessories, and silencer if you have one all to the same scheme and for the most part, a single loadout.
Well I have no problem painting, I'm just fucking terrible at it.
Got a little something from China today, best $35 ever

low-sitting t-1s are for faggots
for some reason I like T-1s on shotguns more than anything.
I only like T1s on AK gas tube rails.

M68 CCO master race.
I don't like T1s at all.
if I attached a T-1 on an F2000, will it become a submarine?
