TWO FRONT SIGHTS FOR MAXIMUM ACCURACY
g&p $15 flashlight and vertical grip arrived today awkward space between the receiver and rail system i was too cheap to buy madbull barrel nut shims so I used electric tape
Finally got my famas put back together today and its all good to go. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/hqvyM.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/BbiPA.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/iDC0g.jpg[/thumb] Its a cybergun famas with a downgraded spring (so my field doesnt get all bitchy), custom paint job, and additional rails on the hand guard. I am quite proud of it. I could have gotten a better airsoft gun, but I was also budgeting in my outfit, and the famas has always been my kind of "trademark" gun, since my first airsoft rifle was a spring famas.
I really like that. Looks a lot like a FAMAS you would see a French soldier in Afghanistan using.
I really like that. Looks a lot like a FAMAS you would see a French soldier in Afghanistan using.
I had an old toy M16 when I was a kid in similar camo, and I had always loved it. Its not the most practical camo, but damn does it look cool.
That's neat; shame my Cybergun Famas has a broken magwell :v: How much are mags for the thing? and are there midcaps on the market?
That's neat; shame my Cybergun Famas has a broken magwell :v: How much are mags for the thing? and are there midcaps on the market?
Yes but they're expensive as hell and they're never in stock. Thats the only downside. Theres a tutorial on how to make it stanag compatible but its really difficult and after all the troubles I've gone with it, I dont want to work on it more anytime soon.
Looks neat, but have you considered upgrading to a TM in the future? You could have one of the few properly fantastic FAMAS's out there.
I thought about that initially, but from what I read it was almost exactly the same, if not better than the TM version, and the TM version was $300 (and out of stock at the time). This is my first major airsoft gun, and all I really do right now is play at a CQB field. Once I get more money and more into the game, I'm sure I'll buy a much better rifle, but for now it does its job wonderfully. I just hate the high-cap mag :v:
Aren't TM FAMASes super creaky though?
Aren't TM FAMASes super creaky though?
Yes, but TM internals are not.
Yes, but TM internals are not.
Yeah, I understand that, but I think a creaky body would get annoying fast.
probably not any creakier than the jp famas
Yeah, I understand that, but I think a creaky body would get annoying fast.
Well he already has the Cybergun body looking pretty, so if that's any better he could place the TM internals in there.
Isn't G&G supposed to be making a FAMAS?
Isn't G&G supposed to be making a FAMAS?
I would buy it in a heartbeat if they are
according to taiwaneseprick 2015 along with the rest of their bullpups in both combat machine and ~~toptech~~ versions
it's their plan; though I'm not sure if they started R&D on it yet
Got the peq box and the g&p flashlight. Unfortunately, I didn't think to get a peq box battery, so I have to wait until I get my 7.4 from hobbyking, which will be a while. Still looks pretty hot [editline]28th November 2012[/editline] anyone know how long Hobbyking usually takes to ship?
She has arrived! They fixed the mag relese problem. Shes shooting way to hot though, about 450fps.
She has arrived! They fixed the mag relese problem.
I still don't know why they made a carbine length weapon shoot 450, especially considering VFC doesn't normally have FPS disease.
If they are going to make it 450, at least put the standard length barrel on there. IMO it looks kinda awkward with the fucking gigantic mag and CQB barrel
I still don't know why they made a carbine length weapon shoot 450, especially considering VFC doesn't normally have FPS disease.
Evike and Gi have it listed shooting in the 300s I think, I could just be getting godly compression.
Evike and Gi have it listed shooting in the 300s I think, I could just be getting godly compression.
Thats VFC! my friends stock vfc m16 ES shoots 450 with the m120 it came with
Evike and Gi have it listed shooting in the 300s I think, I could just be getting godly compression.
eHobby says 450. Also, VFC is very consistent on quality, so if yours was shooting 150fps more than standard, that would be a very bad sign.
I still don't know why they made a carbine length weapon shoot 450, especially considering VFC doesn't normally have FPS disease.
Evike has the 20 inch barrel version.
Evike has the 20 inch barrel version.
Yeah, they have both versions. What exactly are you saying?
It sounded like you were trying to say they only made the short version.
eHobby says 450. Also, VFC is very consistent on quality, so if yours was shooting 150fps more than standard, that would be a very bad sign.
I didn't look at ehobby, I'd trust them over evike tbh and that's where I ordered it. Yea evike has it listed at 345. They need to fix that.
It sounded like you were trying to say they only made the short version.
Naw, although the fullsize is only a limited edition with like 500-650 units worldwide or something. Mainly confused why they made both guns shoot at 450.
I didn't look at ehobby, I'd trust them over evike tbh and that's where I ordered it. Yea evike has it listed at 345.
