Finally got my famas put back together today and its all good to go.

Its a cybergun famas with a downgraded spring (so my field doesnt get all bitchy), custom paint job, and additional rails on the hand guard. I am quite proud of it.
I could have gotten a better airsoft gun, but I was also budgeting in my outfit, and the famas has always been my kind of "trademark" gun, since my first airsoft rifle was a spring famas.
I really like that. Looks a lot like a FAMAS you would see a French soldier in Afghanistan using.

I had an old toy M16 when I was a kid in similar camo, and I had always loved it.
Its not the most practical camo, but damn does it look cool.

Thats the only downside. Theres a tutorial on how to make it stanag compatible but its really difficult and after all the troubles I've gone with it, I dont want to work on it more anytime soon.
Looks neat, but have you considered upgrading to a TM in the future? You could have one of the few properly fantastic FAMAS's out there.
I thought about that initially, but from what I read it was almost exactly the same, if not better than the TM version, and the TM version was $300 (and out of stock at the time).
This is my first major airsoft gun, and all I really do right now is play at a CQB field. Once I get more money and more into the game, I'm sure I'll buy a much better rifle, but for now it does its job wonderfully.
I just hate the high-cap mag :v:

Well he already has the Cybergun body looking pretty, so if that's any better he could place the TM internals in there.

it's their plan; though I'm not sure if they started R&D on it yet
Got the peq box and the g&p flashlight. Unfortunately, I didn't think to get a peq box battery, so I have to wait until I get my 7.4 from hobbyking, which will be a while. Still looks pretty hot

They fixed the mag relese problem. Shes shooting way to hot though, about 450fps.

I still don't know why they made a carbine length weapon shoot 450, especially considering VFC doesn't normally have FPS disease.

If they are going to make it 450, at least put the standard length barrel on there. IMO it looks kinda awkward with the fucking gigantic mag and CQB barrel

Evike and Gi have it listed shooting in the 300s I think, I could just be getting godly compression.

eHobby says 450. Also, VFC is very consistent on quality, so if yours was shooting 150fps more than standard, that would be a very bad sign.

I didn't look at ehobby, I'd trust them over evike tbh and that's where I ordered it.

Naw, although the fullsize is only a limited edition with like 500-650 units worldwide or something. Mainly confused why they made both guns shoot at 450.

I still don't understand how the fuck they chronoed it so horribly wrong. Perhaps they only chronoed the prototype or something?
