I tried doing that when I was going to buy the AUG from one of my friends a year back or so. It was incredibly uncomfortable. You have to keep the mag release pushed up while you pull the mag out. I could still reload it faster the normal way than i could reload my M16 though.

There's a small ridge on the mag that helps hold it in like on an AK.

You might just be spraying a bit too much. Make your shots count if you're using real caps.

I know, I use real caps a LOT. But 6 of them, if the shit hits the fan I run out of ammo and die and have to spend time loading them again. I used to have 10 which I could roll with fine, but I lost 3 and broke one 1 so now I'm down to 6. Nowadays I end up using my XM-177 most of the time, or my Benelli M3.

Do you have like ak74 real caps? Or are you using the 47/akm ones?

I like to single shot most of the time with my midcaps but most people on my field don't call their hits unless they're [b]100% sure[/b] that someone was shooting at them and they managed to hit them

so that means I have to pump 10 bbs for good measure :(

STAR AK-47 real caps. I don't think anyone makes realcap 5.45mm mags, as when I bought it all I chose for realistic capacity over the realistic look of bakelite midcaps (damn those are hard to find).

This so much. A big reason why 6 realcaps are hard to work with for me, and usually when I get someone in the sights when using real caps I just mag-dump them. I was at a game once and from across a windy field I shot a 12 year old in the back/side about 3-4 times with my sniper rifle and I could see him react to the rounds breaking. Eventually he saw me and just spun around and started blasting at my with his cybergun AEG. I wanted to sprint across the field and tackle the motherfucker. I'm not afraid to occasionally yell "Call your fucking hits you 12 year old!" out at public games, many of which are populated by hordes of little kids who don't want to call their hits.
