Oh ok. I've never used a rail, so I had no idea how log it would take to take off the carry handle.

If it's not over the center of balance it's extremely uncomfortable and awkward to use.
nobody carries the m4 or m16 by the carry handle anymore since you can't keep your hand on the pistol grip that way.
It'd make it annoying to carry, but better then no handle.
again, i don't [B]think[/B] they put it on the bottom of the rail to use as a carrying handle, they just leave it there in case their optic goes down, they can switch out to the carrying handle

On the topic of carrying handles i saw a kid at my airsoft field with his M4/M16 carrying handle on a scar.

actually it looks pretty good
if we just disregard the fact that the scar comes with a sight that does all the aiming stuff fine and is much lower profile
and that nobody carries guns by the carry handle anymore
i think it looks really bad lol

almost as bad as the time I saw someone running around with a magpulled up M4 but missing the handguard
we all came to the conclusion he sold all of his stock parts but came up a bit short to afford a handguard :v:
I carry my rifle whenever I have the carry handle on it.
have you tried attaching carrying handles to your lower pistol rail

it actually makes a fairly noticeable difference while firing
not sure if this fairly noticeable difference is a good thing
