My advice, don't spring for the gorgeous wood stock M1100, the length will get in the way and you will not want to get rid of all that wood, mine was full stock for a while and its much more usable as a pistol grip. Also, Maruzen M870's are fantastic second hand as they're really hard to break and often pretty cheap.

I envy that plan, if you need internal pics or anything else before you start I'll be happy to oblige. My initial advice is .4g bb's + external air/CO2 + extractor modification + Mesh or large rigid shellcatcher.
