Assuming it's shooting 5.56 ammo with that short of a barrel at automatic, that's just not practical.
it's not supposed to be practical
its supposed to be fucking awesome

well ingame it shoots bullets that still retain the shell casing while "tumbling" in the air because the devs didn't bother to look up what tumbling is iirc
[editline]1st September 2011[/editline]
and has infinite ammo because the c mag looks like an infinity symbol
Note the massive muzzle brake in the patriot. Guess that makes the stock unnecessary.
ingame it has less recoil than the m16a1 too :v:
I like it, its simple.
too bad
he got a red dot and plans on a foregrip

I should really post a pick of my ICS AK up.
It reminds me of a modernized patriot. Either way it's unique and I like it.
Id use it

We're sort of AK brothers!
everyone here has an ak
almost
Not me...
I want one badly too
also my m4 with ther stock extended is the same length as the aks74 with the stock unfolded :v:
As soon as WE tech release that GBB AK i'm offically gonna start a russian loadout.
We really should make an AK thread. Should I?
We really should make an AK thread. Should I?
no point. We already have a Russian thread I think.
Well, I meant sort of as a post your AK, discuss Kalashnikovs, new models, reviews, etc. Half of the clutter in these threads relates to it, so I thought maybe it would clear out some of these threads a little.
Ak's are like a pinnacle in firearm history, right up there with the 1911. It's an old tried and true design built in the 40's that was rugged and worked under many circumstances.
And so many AR fanboys attempt to slander it, which I find amusing.
Lot of my mates would rather use an AK than an M4 that's dead certain.
Soldiers?
Soldiers?
Infantry.
I always wondered if during vietnam, any soldiers tried to swap out their weapons. I know that they officials probably didn't allow that but still.
Ok, because armchair generals always say otherwise, but I tend to think as you said.

You don't swap your weapon from what i've experienced then you miss out on being able to get spare magazines quickly of a team mate, plus just picture being drilled with an M4 for all of training you can take down an M4 and put it back togther as quickly as hell, you know that gun better than yourself. Do you really want anything else?
yes grammar and spelling are shit it's late at night.
Well i'm not talking an m4 here. The m16 and even the a1 were so god damned unreliable and prone to jamming. Where is that famous quote from a captain i think that said that every single one of his men found dead in battle were found trying to field strip and clean their m16.
It's true though, it'd be much easier to get ammunition, but i was talking more about the fact that isn't the weapon you're issue YOUR weapon that YOU need to maintain and take care of?

You are expected to keep your weapon more taken care off than yourself literally, the whole naming the gun is still done in certain sections, I know in the british navy we had names.
But the AK really is the most perfect gun on this planet, hardly jams low matinence simple to use, I don't understand why more armies don't use it tbh.

and then dead GI ghosts haunt your M14 at night

The lack of an RIS, most armies now want a gun that can be used for any situation, just swap out a part on a rail. They also think that instead of adding rails that they should just develop their own.

also similar reason why USA cops don't really use foreign vehicles either
