There just needs to be more movies like 9th Company. But the American media would NEVER make something where Russians are portrayed as the good guys, especially not if they're taking America's job of fighting Islamic insurgents and/or terrorists.
well in 9th company, the russians were kind of the bad guys, the soviets weren't exactly being very nice to them were they?

no side in a war is the good side with like the only exception in my opinion being ww2
i wouldn't argue that no side in a war is a good side. If you average out the amount of atrocities each side commits, one's bound to be less than the other. Even then, WWII was not the clear cut, good vs evil, war we are told it was. The US firebombed loads of japanese cities. We dropped the atom bomb, twice, mostly just to see what it'd do. we locked people in internment camps. While hitler and the nazis were evil fuckers, and japan was obviously motivated by imperialism and desire to take over new territory, the US is hardly a saint.

Well I guess I should be more correct in saying American media would never portray Russian soldiers as the protagonists then. They're always the faceless conscripts that the American special forces have no problems slaughtering.
I would actually kind of like to see something like Red Dawn but from the perspective of a squad of Soviet conscripts who don't exactly want to be in America and are just trying to survive the constant attacks by American resistance fighters and the American military.

Keep in mind the Japanese were also the most ruthless enemies we've ever fought, and may have killed more innocent people that the nazi's. Plus they committed an assload of atrocities too. We did some bad things, but we were pretty far into the good on this one. However, we were allied with the Soviet Union, and we all know how they rolled. I can't tell you if communism or fascism would have been more harmful to the Eastern European nations, but we didn't do a particular lot of good for those countries either way. Also, we did throw a shitton of money into fixing both countries at the end of the war, unlike almost every other victor nation in history.

I found it in the second-hand section of some airsoft fair i went to today.
It's just a really butchered DBoys m14 mag, it works but it holds about 10 shots.

Oh yes, i would KILL for a game/movie that didn't portray the US as good/best side, and the rossia side with M81, PASGT, or AK 47s. Also speaking of shotguns a guy at the field was selling a Maruzin 870. For $250 naturally, but it had 36 shells and stuff. I didn't buy it, i couldn't, but i ogled over it all day.
