let me guess are boob avatars next?
i was about to mention this. you ban for a censored nsfw image (which people who haven't seen it before can't tell what it is) but you don't ban for uncensored naked breast avatars which are certainly less sfw than the former.
unban rambo 09 seriously that's pathetic you can hardly see what it is let me guess are boob avatars next? unban rambo 09
They're NSFW, so yeah.
Yeah, I'd like to say something about the mods. When I first got banned for posting something in the wrong section, I raged. Why? No warning. How about you move it to the right section and PM me telling me why it was in the wrong place. I also got banned yesterday for posting in a banme. How was I to know it was a banme? Just my thoughts. Bans aren't warnings; please issue an actual warning to those who got banned. Thank you for reading.
That's how FP rolls. You get banned so you know better next time. Lurk around for a few weeks/months, see what causes bans etc. and when in doubt, don't post.
They're NSFW, so yeah.
they've been around for at least half a year.

Well, no, it isn't nice.
I like ventilated, because honestly, he doesn't take any shit. If something deserves a ban, then he bans them. He may have had his bad moments, but he is still a great mod.
they've been around for at least half a year.
brother, welcome to the new age. the crusade against nsfw avatars is nigh. think of all the 14 year olds we are saving from the dreadful situation where their parents might see them on a forum that condones nsfw avs.
Nice pixellated Tubgirl avatar.
hush, they'll figure out what my vague avatar is.
But didn't rambo 6 have that avatar for a while now? Why get banned now for having it, Couldn't he have gotten a warning?
hush, they'll figure out what my vague avatar is.
looks like brown and white squares.
But didn't rambo 6 have that avatar for a while now? Why get banned now for having it, Couldn't he have gotten a warning?
This question has been asked like 10 times in this thread alone Read hezzy's posts
Unban me SilverHammer
This question has been asked like 10 times in this thread alone Read hezzy's posts
Bit of a shoddy explanation. He's basically implying that Every Moderator but him (including garry) wasn't doing their job properly.
Garry must have seen it what with rambo having a lot of posts in the gmod sections, how come he didn't do anything, these are his forums.
Yeah a good example of this was the Fretta thread where garry had a good deal of participation.
What happened to the tubgirl avatar?
who said it was tubgirl? it was simply a nearly indistinguishable, low resolution series of pixels.
What happened to the tubgirl avatar?
he obviously didn't want to get banned for it.
posted in a muse thread: a piracy-condoning mod and constable. do you really want a person like this taking care of facepunch?
Wow. Shameful. Just goes to show what kind of great moderators we have.
Almost all the mods are good but theres one rule I do hate: Moderators lock threads and ban the OP for wrong section posting, why can't they just move the post?
Almost all the mods are good but theres one rule I do hate: Moderators lock threads and ban the OP for wrong section posting, why can't they just move the post?
because they want to teach people to post in the right section to start with.
Almost all the mods are good but theres one rule I do hate: Moderators lock threads and ban the OP for wrong section posting, why can't they just move the post?
When the only semblance of power in your life is managing a forum populated by autistic children, you'll probably want to get the most out of it.
because they want to teach people to post in the right section to start with.
If they cared as much as you make them out to, they'd have a defineable set of rules visible for people to see instead of expecting them to magically know the moment they register. But not having a ruleset allows them to pick and choose what to enforce when and to whomever they please, hence hezzy getting away with blantantly asking for warez (a post that will most likely mysteriously disappear in the future along with all references to it)
If they cared as much as you make them out to, they'd have a defineable set of rules visible for people it see instead of expecting them to magically know the moment they register.
That's why you lurk for a while before starting to post.

I just dropped by to say what a cool mod Hezzy is and he's doing a great job! I- Oh... uh, I'll just...
That's why you lurk for a while before starting to post.
Why are you defending such an awful decision? Lurking for a while does not tell you what you can and cannot post, seeing other people getting banned won't cover everything since rules are made up on-the-fly by the moderators. A defined ruleset ensures that there aren't any misunderstandings and gives people confidence to post.

It's just that if you see what others do and don't do that, your chances to get banned decrease. Having defined rules would be great, but it wouldn't stop people from ignoring them, and crying about how they didn't know. No, really, we need a set of rules, it'd make sense.
Almost all the mods are good but theres one rule I do hate: Moderators lock threads and ban the OP for wrong section posting, why can't they just move the post?
If I find people posting in the wrong section and they haven't been banned by me or in another section for it before, I'll usually just ban them for a day. A 1 day ban makes them (in most cases) realize they need to check where to post first.
