I always wanted the film to keep going after he left, seeing the reactions of himself and of the public.
I felt that too, but it really couldn't have ended any other way. The fact that we stop seeing what happens to him after he walks away is so perfect.

I see what you're saying, never thought of it like that before. Also, the fat guy in the bathtub, I wonder when he ever gets out since the show is on 24/7

Gonna watch ASAP, looks cool.
"In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening and good night!"
This movie is amazing, love Jim Carrey.
One of my favorite movies. Ever.
I love this movie, Carrey was very well preformed, mixing a serious tone with a very silly one. Carrey is funny through out, but when it comes to the serious scenes, he acts very well. Though, the best part of the film is the ending scene, where he smiles, in his goofy grin, even in the situation.
Had a hard time understanding this when I first saw it, but now......oh god its beautiful.
I always hated the best friend. He acted like he liked Truman, yet really didn't. Reminded me of my life.
Excellent movie, one of Jim Carrey's best along with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Also the original soundtrack of this movie is fucking great. I can play this one on the piano  [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline] Philip Glass is just terrific
Quite the under appreciated movie.
I found the movie incredibly depressing, I couldn't imagine someone being a slave to a made up reality.
But what happened after he got out? :saddowns:
It's a great film!, I always find time to watch this every now and again.
One of my favourite movies and the soundtrack composed by Phillip Glass (Koyaanisqatsi) is also Faaaantastic. Edit: Mooe94 respect.
But what happened after he got out? :saddowns:
He lives life, the way he never did before. Or goes out, and gets hit by a bus, who knows.
Probably the first movie I ever saw which was "Memorable". Fantastic film.
Jim Carrey is a great actor, he just needs to play in great films like this one. I loved that film so much, now I want to see it again.
The first time i watched this when i was a little kid i thought it was a documentary. For 6 years i had paranoia because of it.
Jim Carrey is a great actor, he just needs to play in great films like this one. I loved that film so much, now I want to see it again.
He has two movies that would classify as such. "Man on the Moon", a fantastic little film about the life of Andy Kaufman, is very funny. It has many memorable acts Kaufman used to do, and it makes the film very funny, but with a kind of bittersweet ending. The obvious one is "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". Carrey uses his hyper personality in a totally different way in this movie. He is fantastic, acting very serious and even apathetic, acting out in emotional situations, yet still being very loving in the romantic scenes. This is considered one of the best movies of the decade, and it's easily seen why. Superb acting from Carrey, a very deep and emotional plot, with surreal moments, and a very questionable ending, this movie is so good, it makes me happy just thinking about it. this is Jim Carrey's best film, next to the "Truman Show" Go watch it, now. Please.
Oh I've seen both and loved both really. But yeah I agree, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is an amazing film.
I can't believe Man on the Moon bombed at the box office. More people need to see it because it's a brilliant movie! Also Andy Kaufman's father seems to be Junior from the Sopranos. Neato. [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline] Actually no Wikipedia says it's not the same guy, although i swear he looked exactly like him.
