They've already said that Civil War is less about secret identities and more about accountability.
Just like the original comics...?
Just like the original comics...?
It started off like that, but it became more of "Government is in charge of what you do and needs to know your identity".
[editline]20th March 2015[/editline]
As Cap put it, it lets the government decide who the villains are.

may 6, 2016 is civil war's release date
also a quick synopsis
Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.
I would love for Captain America to say to Iron Patriot , "I know how you feel buddy" :v: .
God.
Quicksilver is a slav. With the cheesy accent and a fucking track suit.
Give this movie Best Picture.
I don't mind Captain America being a lead character in Civil War, but I feel that it's taking away from him to make Civil War a CA sequel.
I mean, the Civil War comics weren't Captain America comics, they were a stand alone series that delved into each hero's story. I'd be happier with this just being an Avengers: Civil War and have Cap have his own third film.
[editline]20th March 2015[/editline]
Keep in mind, I say this out of bias because Captain America is my favorite Marvel hero :v:
I wouldn't too much about Cap getting crowded out for Civil War. A lot of fans were thinking the same thing when the long list of Marvel characters were announced for the Winter Soldier.
Between that movie, The Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel has done really well with films featuring a large collection of superheros.
Its not the number of characters, really, its just how they're handled.
Like, shit, Spider-Man 3 and TASM2 had 1 hero and 3 villains and they did that poorly but Winter Soldier had 3 heroes and 5 villains and it was fucking great.
let's not forget the x-men movies
Idk if the x men movies are a good example because while they do make tons of characters on screen work, they dont really use them to their full extent, except for days of future past maybe. Every mutant that isn't wolverine, professor x or magneto feels unimportant, while in, say, gotg, every character matters

But then why call it Captain America 3?
[editline]21st March 2015[/editline]
Also for the 3 heroes in Winter Soldier, it was very clear that the others were supporting characters of Cap.

And?
I just said it had 3 heroes in it, 5 villains, and it made it work, some of them were supporting, thats how that works, i know.

It worked because the other heroes were side characters.
Civil War is about all of the heroes, not just Cap.
So they're either making a Civil War movie focusing mostly on Cap which is unfair to the others,
or making a Cap movie focusing on all the characters which is unfair to Cap.
let's not forget the x-men movies
hmmm yeah no
i don't think any of the mutants that aren't wolverine, professor x, magneto and mystique get the attention they deserve in the x-men movies
the only movie that wasn't like that was first class, and they developed the other mutants pretty well whilst keeping professor x/magneto/mystique the focus of the movies... only for them to be killed off-screen on the sequel

I dont know about that.
I feel like Civil war is going to be a traditional "hero and his supporting cast vs. the antagonists"
Cap is the leader of the Anti-Reg, Iron Man is the leader of the Pro-Reg, its probably going to be a lot like Winter Soldier, just with more characters on both sides. And two in the middle.
if coulson doesn't appear in avengers 2 it'll be a travesty
if coulson doesn't appear in avengers 2 it'll be a travesty
it would undo the very creation of the avengers themselves
as far as the main group is concerned coulson is and will always be dead.
it would undo the very creation of the avengers themselves
Why?
He brought them together and his death helped bring them together again. If they found out he was alive, I think someone of them would be pretty upset that they were lied to.
I just don't see how it works. Twice now he's worked with Lady Sif since his death. You'd think that she would tell Thor about her adventures on Midgard with the Son of Coul.

He specifically asked her not to.

I think the whole (AoS spoilers) [sp]Coulson's SHIELD and the other SHIELD[/sp] might be leading up to the Avengers 2. If so, I can't see how the heck they're going to dodge Coulson.

I was thinking it is geared more towards Civil War. Otherwise you'd have to explain [sp]what is HYDRA, how they infiltrated SHIELD, how "somebody" took over SHIELD after Fury[/sp] to the general moviegoers, and that seems a little excessive for a simple superhero movie
But Winter Soldier covered much of that, if not the return of Shield.

I was initially thinking that Civil War might be too far away for AoS to already do related stuff, but they've already shown off [sp]Inhumans and that movie won't be out until 2019[/sp] so I guess it might be possible.
He brought them together and his death helped bring them together again. If they found out he was alive, I think someone of them would be pretty upset that they were lied to.
"Oh he's alive? I'm angry at Fury so I'm not working with Thor or Ironman anymore"
I don't understand that logic.
If anything, S.H.I.E.L.D. should recive far less focus, but that's just me
I still can't figure this out.
What does Captain America say in the Age of Ultron TV Spot 2?
Did Marvel Just Confirm The New Spider-Man’s Secret Identity?
No, they confirmed it when they said the new Spider-Man would be Peter Parker in the very first press release for the deal.
