I liked the Avengers 2.
[sp]Only thing I didn't like was the death of QS.[/sp]
this movie was just so boring with all its fast paced editing that you dont even get enough time to even care about anything happening for the moment
its like the same people who edited thor the dark world went on to do this one and ruin it even worse because while all that fast paced crap may have worked in thor 2, this movie is about a group of superheroes AND a villain youre supposed to care for
Dear LORD.
and the hulk/widow stuff isnt even sweet nor comfortable to look at either, its full on forced and nothing subtle about it
90% of her screentime is focused on talking about hulk or trying to hit it on with him christ
[sp]I mean, that's just blatantly wrong
The movie spent a lot of time/focus on the psychological damage the Black Widow program did to her as a person. Wanda's fear hallucinations affected her the most for that reason. That's been explored before in Winter Soldier so they didn't go extremely far into it, but the relationship between her and Bruce was as much about her as it was him.[/sp]
I really liked Avengers 2, but I do have one big peeve.
[sp]Why did Quicksilver have to be killed off? I'm asking in the context of his arc, of the movie's arc, heck, of the Avenger's arc. It wasn't an event that united them like Coulson's death, it was barely necessary. It was just a consequence of the battle and he barely got a funeral scene.[/sp]
Just wondering.
[sp]IDK man, the death of QS is my only complaint with this move. I mean, he wa sliterally one meter from cover. Either way if you looked at the credits you could see how Hawkeyes new kid got named after him. "Nathanel Pietro Barton".[/sp]
I did find one review which perfectly sums up how I felt about the movie.
But none of that hides the fact that Whedon’s film is simply out of sync with the universe that Marvel has been building since 2012. In many ways, Marvel has grown up and passed him by — and his jocular take on the material doesn’t just feel stale, it feels like a step back.
(...) In any case, outclassing yourself is a good problem for Marvel to have. The biggest shame about Avengers: Age of Ultron isn’t that it’s bad — it’s not. The biggest shame is that it’s just so ordinary.
Whedon's writing is like that period in your teenage years where you think certain things are cool, but then you grow out of them. You must always grow out of Whedon and see the faults in his writing. Agents of SHIELD is trying to grow out of Whedon. Captain America 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy was the MCU growing out of Whedon. Now he's back and doing the same thing and it feels like it's nothing compared to the highs we had in previous movies.
good thing we have the russo bros
I didn't mind the Widow/Hulk thing. And I don't think she had much more screen time than anyone else. You also gotta consider she's one of the first Avengers and she doesn't even have a movie of her own.
Lots of action. Not as clear and concise as the first one unfortunately
I found myself being more excited at the next billion Marvel movies AoU has hinted at and lined up than the main film itself.
[editline]23rd April 2015[/editline]
Don't get me wrong though, the film is still entertaining and the jokes with Thor were the best in the film along with the humor between Hawkeye and Quicksilver was damn hilarious.
Ultron was a cool villain.
[sp]Wish he wasn't killed off like all MCU villains.[/sp]

[sp]I'm sure a drone is off somewhere hiding powered down or some shit. Ultron never truly goes away[/sp]
Loved it
[sp]but I didn't like how Ultron just had a body 10 minutes after his attack without the film showing how he made it, looks like that was cut out[/sp]
I don't know how late to the party I am, but the Daredevil show on Netflix is incredible.

I'm watching it with my Brother, and we're both enjoying it immensely.
It's actually also in the MCU which is interesting.
netflix daredevil is probs the best thing marvel has done tbh
I wouldn't go that far (I still prefer Guardians and Winter Soldier), but I can definitely see people having that perfectly viable opinion.
Way I see it, it's got the potential to be the best thing Marvel's done, but it hasn't quite gotten as good as it can get just yet.
Season 2 is gonna be some shit, that's for sure. I wanna see if MCU Bullseye can top Collin Farrell.
I enjoyed it more than Avengers 1, but that's not saying much.
I'm seeing it saturday!
How come you guys are watching it earlier than I am? D:
I'm used to getting to see movies before anyone else.
It was pretty fun, little bit confused as to how [sp] Thanos has the gauntlet even though it's supposed to be on Asgard [/sp]

I think that was just a joke by the film makers.
What kinda bothered me about the movie was [sp]Quicksilver's death. It was so unnecessary. I felt bad for Scarlet Witch, she felt guilty for helping Ultron and literally lost everything.[/sp]
No, the real shitty part [sp]is how they cut right before Cap finally said Avengers Assemble.[/sp]
Saw it.
A very resounding meh overall.
Hawkeye focus is great, he seriously deserved it after everything.
Action was neat, a lot of cool team attacks between Thor and Steve. Nothing special outside of that.
Ultron was far too quipy/incompetent for my tastes [sp]even if he is based on Tony as opposed to Hank[/sp], especially when he usually has such a heavy philosophical quandary they could've expanded on.
[sp]Quicksilver dying was a complete waste IMO, especially since he had some of the best jokes (eg the AK). I expected Wanda to go full reality warper when she screamed to and bring him back but alas.[/sp]
[sp]Visions introduction was neat but he definitely could have used his own screen as opposed to having to try and share it with all the Avengers AND the Twins who only just got introduced. Maybe have more focus on those 3 and less on the main Avengers. Also him and Ultron should've expanded more on the philosophical side outside of their last scene[/sp]
[sp]And one of those main Avengers plot points that they should've dropped is that disgustingly forced Bruce/BW romance. Seriously, I understand wanting to give those 2 an interesting story since thy don't affect much of the main plot but it was a complete snoozefest and you could've explored Natasha's background in a number of different ways[/sp]
[sp]Thor's plotline seemed quite interesting and I'm hoping it's expanded upon in Ragnarok(which will apparently have a darker tone ala TWS) but there was a lot of weird editing around that area and it was weirdly short[/sp]
In the end I'm mostly annoyed at [sp]how the New Avengers line-up seems really interesting but it's gonna get spoiled by the fact all they'll do is hero vs hero in CW but I'm gonna trust the Russo's and hope we get at least one cool non-hero battle with them[/sp]
I've heard rumors that Whedon initially wanted to go for a darker, more serious film and that Disney ended up wanting it cut down and more fun and going by some of the editing I definitely think they did. Things like [sp]Thor's Raganrok visions definitely lean towards this idea with the poor editing of a darker scene and the complete removal of the bald black chick from the trailer who was clearly meant to be in that scene[/sp]
Guys who have seen the movie, I have one question
What the fuck is up with the ballerinas from the trailer?

[sp]Black Widow backstory[/sp]
[sp]Black Widow backstory[/sp]
That scene was [sp]pretty dark. All the sequences from Scarlet Witch's nightmares were dark but this one in particular felt like something out of a horror movie[/sp]
Probably going to see this at the cinemas... Can anyone tell me, what is the soundtrack like? Silvestri's score MADE the first movie for me, he's an incredible composer. When I heard they dropped him for Age of Ultron I was quantum-bummed... a good score can make or break a film, personally.

wrong thread
Anyone knows who is the black girl from the trailer 2? I don't remember seeing her in the movie.
