Woulda preffered Spectacular but I guess it ties it into the MCU and kinda mirrors CA:The First Avenger
2nd season is worth it for Kyle MacLachlan alone.
the kwisatz haderach is in aos?
So they start filming Civil War in a couple weeks right?
That means it shouldn't be too long before we find out who was cast as Parker.

Should be The Avenging Spider-Man.

Seems like the Spidey cast might have been leaked by the actor himself or this kid just happens to reveal that he really likes Spider-Man on Instagram a couple of days before the official casting announcement is due to happen.
(POTENTIALLY/UNOFFICIALLY) Meet your new Spider-Man

Hmm a lot of spiderman instagram hashtags, and I can't seem to see why he was on the red carpet to AoU.
Wonder if he is involved with Spiderman.
His girlfriend had an instagram picture that said "leave the cooking to me Spidey".
I don't know, my mind was so set on O'Brien or Lerman I just think everyone else wouldn't fit the role like the other two.
Anyone know him from any movies that I can see how his acting is?
He's fit and cute. Has my vote
But the real question is, can he look like a total nerd?
I always imagined Peter to be good looking to some degree. With Gwen, supermodel Mary and voluptuous Blackcat who've bedded him
Peter Parker is the dude equivalent of "dorky nerd girl highschool best friend who is totally dowdy and meek until they take off their glasses and let their hair down".
But the real question is, can he look like a total nerd?
I don't want to see a total nerd be spider man imo.
The spider-bite has made him more athletic, gave him new powers, etc.
He should have a really decent build, and posture, as well as the confidence/positive way of carrying himself from being a hero.
Should be a bit of a mix, where he tries to act nerdy to keep up appearances, if that.

I've always figured it was kinda like the "Clark Kent/Superman" difference, like in this pic:

Like, when Superman is Clark Kent, he's kinda slouchy and dumpy looking, his clothes aren't great, he's got frumpy hair, etc.
But when Superman is Superman, he's all tall and robust and full of confidence.
Peter Parker is like Clark Kent.
After the spider bite, Peter Parker is like Clark Kent if he carried himself like Superman.
As Spider-Man, Peter Parker is himself cranked up to 11 because he's constantly obscured by feety pajamas so who gives a fuck, he's totally anonymous and can say/do whatever he wants to whomever he wants.
2nd season is very much that.
The fuck it is; two characters have any kind of development and we've had more draggiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing whedonitis than an entire season of Dragon Ball Z.
Daredevil pretty much highlights in spades how incredibly wasted the acting talent on AoS is being used.
Thoughts on Age of Ultron
[sp]The pacing felt a lot better than the first film, but then I remember that a lot of people didn't think that the first half of the Avengers was boring, and the Battle of New York was so long and "samey" that after some time the audience seemed to stop caring that much. This time we have a lot of locations, some of them are similar, but the action scenes in those locations are really different, so I didn't grow tired after the fourth or fifth big action scene.
The action is good. Towards the end, when all the Avengers are together, I started to lose track of what's going on, but other than that I was really satisfied. There was this one shot in that slavic town after the "circle around the heroes" one that felt like they got a little carried away: they pass cap's shield around or something, and dynamically adapt to help each other, and in the end there's so much shit onscreen that you can't possibly understand what happened - but that's just one shot, so, again, it's okay.
The writing seems really weird. One-liners and jokes are really good, but just "normal" dialogue seems extremely stupid. The "hero talk" ("we're a team! We can do it together!") worked in the first film, because it was pretty scarce, and after 1,5 hours of infighting and doing fuckall it seemed necessary to mention it - now after the third time they say it, it just feels unnecessary and a lot more cheesy. Obviously you can't avoid cheesiness in a film like this, but it was a bit too much for me; I'm not really sure why though. Both this and the previous film were "having fun", so what's different this time? I don't really know yet
Some moments were outright laughable, like that part where the Black Widow is riding a motorcycle and shouts "beep, beep" to the bystanders - what the fuck was that? I understand it was supposed to be cute, but it didn't really feel that way.
Maybe a lot of the intentional cheese was lost on me because of the translation? That could explain why moments like this seemed unfit; if the whole movie was like that - it would be okay; but with the translation it wasn't. From what I understand, the twins are supposed to have an extremely stupid accent, and quicksilver just looks like a jackass - so a big humorous part of the character is outright gone.
Anyway, back to the script: the Hulk/Romanoff subplot felt reeeeally forced. The actors kind of made that work, but everything happens so quickly and completely out of nowhere, so in the end it just feels weird. I'm pretty sure they cut out a lot of stuff related to that romance subplot, which is understandable but still a shame.
The twins were pretty cool; that weird look they always have, worked really well - one of the cheesy parts that I did "get" and enjoyed greatly. I have no idea how they did it, but they made Vision look cool in this, even though out of context he's extremely silly. I'm also happy that some of the characters from standalone films returned, it really makes everything feel connected. I wouldn't mind a AoS cameo, but I understand that it's almost impossible logistics-wise (that Hydra guy doesn't really count).
Overall I liked the movie, even though it felt a bit underwhelming, but it's what you expect now, I guess, most of the advancements happen in the standalones.

re Age of Ultron
[sp]it felt like there was a TON of stuff cut out of the final film. so many things, like the reasoning behind hulk's fight, the whole "there are no strings on me" thing that had more time devoted to it in the flipping trailers than in the entire film, and a couple of other things that i can't quite remember right now just made me think so many times that they should've either had one more final rewrite or left the stuff they cut out in the final film[/sp]
Chances for an extended cut by Whedon are at zero, right?

I welcome this, a lot. Especially after seeing the movie.
I felt like the first movie stuck for too long in the Helicarrier

I may be alone on this but that's one of the reasons I really liked the Andrew Garfield spider man movies. The character of Peter in that I felt was very natural and didn't try too hard to be nerdy.
Unless this is some huge ploy from Billy Unger trying to get the role it seems all but confirmed.
Marvel just invites him to the AoU premiere having no previous connection with the movies?
His girlfriend's instagram now says

[editline]27th April 2015[/editline]
Also it looks like Civil War started today

Spidey is suppose to be in Civil War with Cap and Iron Man right?
You can be certain Unger isn't Spider-man if he's being that blasé with the NDA he no doubt signed when cast. If he was cast he won't be much longer.
There were lots of people in the premiere not involved with the film. Anybody who's ever been to one can tell you loads of people get invited. The red carpet had Youtube Vloggers. Noel Clarke was there. Are any of them Spide
Well shit, everyone left the cinema before the credits were over, didn't get to see the end thing in avengers 2.. Welp.

Not anymore. Or at least not this time.

well that's a shame, was really looking forward to it
[sp] I'm wondering if perhaps Quicksilver's death was a condition made when Marvel and whoever allowed the character to be in both properties' movies. Like they could only have them for one film or some limit of screen time or something. Although, I haven't been able to see the movie yet so I'm not sure of the context of the scene. [/sp]

The rights for Quicksilver are shared. They are Avengers characters at their very core and origin. But their backstory is linked to Magneto and they were mutants when the rights were sold.
Though there have been recent retcons in the comics which have made it so Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch are now no longer mutants and were never related to Magneto.
Though regarding the spoiler you mention: [sp]with Thanos coming up and the Infinity Gauntlet's ability to bring back the dead... yeah I think we'll see Quicksilver again[/sp]
