Tell us if Coulson will be in the new Avengers movie. I would like to at least see some passive reference to him. It would suck for them to make him the Director of SHIELD and then just not use him at all and have Fury being the de-facto director anyway, which I think is what they're gonna do.
He's not, Whedon doesn't consider Agents canon even though he was involved in it's creation. Kinda weird since him and Jed are brothers.
Finished Daredevil. Honestly I think Fisk and his actor deserve some serious recognition. One of the best portrayed Marvel villains imo, probably THE best MCU put out.
Also looking forward to seeing ultron tomorrow.
I hope Coulson shows up in some phase 3 movies.
I hope Coulson shows up in some phase 3 movies.
With Whedon not being the director in any of them, he's bound to show up
I get what you're saying, but please for the love of god, stop writing like this. Use cursive to achieve the same effect for those words. It's awkward to read.
The score for Avengers 2 is not bad, it has its moments, and it's theme from Silvestri is back in some way, but you can't expect a movie to continously use the same music.
Every movie, even if it's a sequel needs to be able to stand on its own. Iron Man 3 did it very good. Captain America 2 did it wonderful. Avengers 2 has some good music at some points, but Tyler does not reach the quality of Silvestris work. He rather tries something on his own than overusing the Avengers theme that we got in the first movie. I appreciate that. Everything has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Marvel did a great job by giving their movies new identities with new themes. CA2 and the Iron Man movies did it the best way. Yes, the themes from the original movie barely appear, but they were able to give them new themes that perfectly fit.
What the hell are you talking about? Cursive? This is... you know... the INTERNET. What do you want, a different font? I can't hand-write online... so what are you even saying?
And I'm sorry, I disagree. Unless you count Tony Stark having classic Black Sabbath and ACDC accompanying him, Iron Man doesn't have a "theme". None of them have themes.
I'm talking about Back to the Future, I'm talking about Indiana Jones. There's no reason you can't have some cues of music that stick with a character from movie to movie. Like I said, Star Trek did it. The "Pirates" films did it quite well too. God, Tyler himself even managed to give some of the characters in Dragonball Evolution their own themes. Yes, that is one thing I can't possibly fault that bastardized hunk of shit for, that the rest of Hollywood doesn't bother with.
And if I'm wrong, give me examples. I'm not saying that a sequel shouldn't cater to it's tone, but there's no reason you can't do that while giving it cohesion with the original. Look at how the Harry Potter films got darker as they went on, but Williams' themes still managed to find their way in there when appropriate. That's because nobody disrespects John Williams, damnit.
Except these are Lizts' personal staff, and we see exactly when she started training to roll around like the Iron Monkey and isn't the first season. I don't remember any of this. I don't even know what the Hand is. When was Skye the leader of the Hand? And, if we saw when she started training to roll around like the Iron Monkey then clearly it's justified because you watched the training happen? This whole post confuses me.
I'm apparently really foggy on the story of AoS.
[editline]30th April 2015[/editline]
The fight scene was well choreographed but I didn't understand why she did that when in the scenes before and after she demonstrated that she has mastery over her powers. Why do all that James Bond shit when she can literally wave her hand and clear the room?

Yes, it's the internet.
He used the wrong word, but he meant italics.
And while yeah, it would be neat if they kept a single theme song for each of the characters through the movies, that would also get pretty stale after a while.
Just Finished Daredevil and goddamn did I fall in love with it. This show is the best marvel produced show in a while, next to AOS
Love the hallway fight

I completely forgot that was in phase 1 :v:
here was a live blog of the amc 24 hour marvel marathon
http://screencrush.com/the-ultimate-marvel-marathon-2015-live-blog/
it seems most people left and took a nap during Cap 1
Cap 1 and Thor 1 are probably my least favorite. Thor is probably the worst because it contains Kat Dennings.

You're comparing an alien with stronger than human capabilities who has been alive for thousands of years, to henchmen that are just suppose to shoot. Obviously none of them were specially trained because we didn't see any of them do any hand to hand combat, they're just people with guns.
Also that probably wasn't the only sparring match between May and Skye, there were probably many many others.. Ward taught Skye way before May started teaching her.
As well, we seen her do decent against May, so it should be pretty obvious that they're going to be training potentially everyday. We don't need to constantly see them spar to get that idea. I doubt 24 hours a day is sitting around doing nothing, they have down time. In that downtime they probably schedule a time to spar/train.
I saw AoU just now, boy was that a disappointment
First half of the movie is pretty good, second half of the movie is literally Whedon-by-the-numbers, incredibly cliche, incredibly formulaic and if you've seen last season of Buffy or Angel or Doll House, you literally know what "happens next".
[sp]
Whedon just recycles standard stuff with nice sheen of CGI and pewpew and a cool soliloquy by Hawkeye (again a whedon staple, the post-pre-post apocalypse pep-talk) and frankly any hint that the Avengers are going to fail is blatantly absent.
Everything after Vision waking is phoned in, and it shows. Nice popcorn movie, but not a blockbuster by any definition of the term. [/sp]

That's all fine and dandy but check this nasty ass shit out

Just got back from seeing AOU and since it is really late i'll sum it to loved it and that after credit scene was awesome.
I told you it was somehow disappointing, but does anyone ever trust Elia Moroes? Nooooo!
OmagodOmagodOmagod!
I'm soooooo happy! They did it right!
PLENTY of old tracks from the movie, some updates, mixes, and the Avengers theme is still the Avengers goddamn theme!
I even heard some of the Iron Man 3 theme in places, so kudos to Tyler for consistency.
Movie was a rollicking good time. Surprised how fun Ultron was. No Loki or anything, but mouthy villains are some of the best...
I really hope James Spader gets some kind of recognition for how just great he did as a villain.
What's that track they always play when Cap America does something?
So was there a after-credits scene?
I only saw the [sp] Thanos grabbing the infinity gauntlet[/sp]
The movie was aiight.
I thought ultron was very inconsistent
Ultron to me felt a massive let down as a villain, and to be me was the weakest part of the movie. His character was far, far too inconsistent.
The rest of the film was good, but ultron sucked alot of the enjoyment out of it for me. Couldn't be taken seriously as a threat whatsoever and im kinda sick of the 'iron man suits go bad' angle.
Thank you guys, I thought I was crazy in dislinking Ultron all alone
while i enjoyed it, i do think that "inconsistent" sums up the movie well
Extended Edition should get rid of the most problems the movie has.
Aye, what pissed me off about the movie was what was clearly filmed but not in the release. Stuff that [sp]made thor relevant, expanded on Ultron more, Wakanda stuff etc[/sp].

i think some of the cut stuff would have been really cool, especially the [sp]thor stuff because what i hear he barely has presence in the film[/sp]

Oh yeah, for sure. Easily the best villain ever portrayed in the MCU, and maybe one of the best villains I've ever seen.
Just finished it myself. I will say, I'm disappointed we didn't get to see much character development with [sp]Wesley. I was hoping for some backstory there, I wanted to see why he was so loyal to Fisk to begin with. I wanted to see that relationship explored more.[/sp]

100% positive there'll be some fiskposition on that.
Anyway, on to Ultron:
[sp]I'm hating the excuses people are giving for Ultron. Sure, he's gonna pick up characteristics from Stark, but that shouldn't dismiss the fact that he wasn't a menacing villian at all.
If Shield is anything to go by, especially the last few episodes, Quicksilver's going to Tahiti.
Hawkeye raised every possible death flag ever.[/sp]
[sp]Scarlet Witch looked hot as fuck in the final scene[/sp]
