Near the end of the movie, what was up with them showing that kid and his mom? They show them 2 like 3 times and then Hawkeye had to save the little bastard. There was a lot of unnecessary scenes in this one, like the scenes above and when the badbot shot threw [sp]the helicarrier into and Fury had to kill it [/sp] there was no point to that scene.
[sp]>In early drafts Ultron would break the Abomination out of jail and recruit him to his army.[/sp]
That would have been really cool.
I'm still sore about Ultron not pulling out an Adamantium chassis

Seeing [sp]Tim Roth[/sp] would have been weird but cool.

I assume it's sort of like those scenes with Ashley Johnson that were ultimately cut from The Avengers.

Here's all the tidbits/trivia. Spoilers obviously
[sp]>Whedon decided to kill one of the Twins because he believed killing a young character would be more striking, and he chose Quicksilver because he didn't want to kill the only other female superhero in the movie.[/sp]
[sp]Honestly, that's pretty good reasoning, because Black Widow is so bland, it hurts. The Witch is at least sly and decieving, Black Widow has nothing going on for her[/sp]. Does anybody remember that Black Widow line from the trailer? "Nothing lasts forever"? Back when I first saw it, I thought it was an awful delivery, like a parody of edgy DC writing - but when I saw it in the theater, it was okay. I did watch it translated though, so maybe they made it better somehow

I've only now noticed that Ant-Man is the last movie of Phase 2. Was releasing Ant-Man after AoU always the plan? Or does it have something to do with Edgar Wright dropping out?
Looks like AoS will show how Fury managed to get his hands on a Helicarrier

That's exaggerated. The movie is not bad. But you can just really tell that a longer cut would have made it better.
No way. It doesn't need to be any longer!
Some of the action scenes looked kinda bad as well

after seeing Cap 2 last year, I cannot agree with you more. That movie fucking revolutionized Super hero action scenes.

Pretty much everything in this relating to [sp]Quicksilver and his death makes me mad and I hope the Russo's say fuck you to Whedon by having him be the Clor equivalent if they go that route in CW[/sp]
Empire Podcast always do really cool Spoiler-Podcast interviews with people after major blockbusters.
They are well worth checking out when they come around.

God damn these suits are getting cooler movie by movie
I posted my opinion on the movie in the rating topic. One thing I forgot to add there, the one-liners, not only were there too many but a lot of them felt like something the character saying them wouldn't really say.

I wonder who as, he'll do well regardless I'm sure.
I think it'll be kinda funny if he shows up somewhere in Doc strange.
Young Hank Pym or someone related to MI-13 pls.
I don't care if there's some no-name in Ant-Man flashbacks or that Hank is old now. Do some Time Gem shenanigans, make him young. Fargo proved to me that Freeman would be amazing that kind of role.

norman osborn pls
[sp] Quicksilver's death was so obvious, just from advertising. He barely got any spotlight beside showing that he's fast.
You don't want to to have to compete against another version of the character, and be compared to it constantly (x-men).
The scene where Scarlet Witch fell down in the trailers screaming, like oh no I wonder what she would be screaming for, we knew her parents died because of stark's weapons, and she's being introduced with her brother. It must not be her brother.
Also I hate how it seems Hawkeye only got so much screentime, because Whedon was trying to make it look like he would be killed off, while not actually putting much character development in the guy who will be killed off. [/sp]
[sp]I kinda would have prefered that they had killed Hawkeye instead of QS[/sp]
[sp]Do you want us to compare DOFP Quicksilver and AoU Quicksilver? Alright.[/sp]
[sp]The former was another one of Brian Synger's 'let's make a cool scene with a mutant and never feature him again.' He was so overpowered he had to be kicked off the rest of the movie. With his help, the plot would have ended in five seconds. His scene is cool because all of the other scenes in DOFP are so middle-level and just like everything else we've seen.[/sp]
[sp]The latter actually contributes to the plot, has more than one fun scene and although most of the times those fun moments have nothing to do with his powers, at least he has the one thing the DOFP version barely had- character. Sure, si his death at the end dumb and unnecessary? Yeah, it is. But I still remember that scene with the bullet being shot from below in slow motion and he reacting to it in normal speed over half of the scenes in DOFP.[/sp]
[sp]It's the difference between 'one cool scene with powers then off the movie'- which is what Brian Synger ALWAYS FUCKING DOES with the best mutants- and 'no cool scene with powers but at least he's a goddamn character.[/sp]

[sp]Hawkeye got plenty of screen time. At first the movie seemed like it would go more into BW's relationship with Banner, but then the surprise reveal that Hawkeye HAS A FAMILY and they spent a considerable portion of the movie at his house, it seemed certain he was going to be the one to die. Once the secret family is revealed, or the wife says she just wants him to come home safe, and he starts making plans for the future, that is a guaranteed on-screen death. But Whedon laughed at that trope and carried on.[/sp]
if anyone got screwed in screentime its [sp]thor[/sp]
