AoU based theory
[sp]Any of you guys heard the theory that Heimdall has the space (i think) gem? thats why his eyes are all crazy and he can see anything anywhere. Then it was taken from him which leads to his white eyes in Thor's AoU vision.[/sp]
[sp]isn't the tesseract the space gem? if so that wouldn't make much sense [/sp]
About Thanos
[sp]Why is he so badass? I couldn't really find any info on why he's so powerful[/sp]
[sp]because he's Thanos![/sp]

[sp]The guy wants to bone Mistress Death. That should tell you enough about how dangerous he is.[/sp]
I thought a little bit more about AoU and come up with three problems I have with it.
First is the biggest and most complex. Too much plots and nods that made the movie less focused and didn't give enough time to some more interesting aspects of the movie. I fear this might continue with some other Marvel films coming out.
Second is the overuse of one-liners. I don't want to ever see super dark Marvel movie but using one-liners to light up the mood doesn't work all the time. It's almost like using jump-scares in a horror movie. They can work but they need to be used at the right time and have the right amount of them. [sp]One that worked for me was Vision commenting on the hammer's balance and Thor's reply.[/sp]
The third and final is Ultron. I don't know his character from the comics but in the movie his personality seemed inconsistent. Sometimes acting like an evil AI, the other throwing one-liners and sarcasm. I wouldn't mind a mixture but he switched between these traits with an on/off button.

[Sp]Oh yes. Maybe it wasn't the space gem or maybe this theory doesn't quite fit with what gems are out there [/sp]
One thing is bothering me in AOU
[sp]Would such a small piece of former Yugoslavia really make a meteor potent enough to kill all life on Earth?[/sp]

[Sp]Yes, considering it's size, weight and speed. Definitely would lead to something akin to the meteor impact that started dinosaur extinction[/sp]

I saw a theory somewhere, don't know where, that [sp]Heimdall has the Soul Gem, some quote he says that he can see "ten trillion souls"[/sp]
Just got back from AoU.
Hulk x Black Widow romance subplot was kind of stupid and clunky, Ultron felt ripped out of a saturday morning cartoon, the opening (while awesome) makes the ending to Iron Man 3 even sillier in hindsight, WAY too many one-liners,[sp]Quicksilver's death[/sp]felt unnecessary and is a real waste and Thor's vision was a little too obvious in it being a set-up for Ragnarok.
Still a kick-ass movie though.
No, it was [sp]of the alien invasion from the first Avengers movie[/sp]
Nope. [sp]This wormhole was farther out in space, you could see most of the Earth from the alien side of the bridge. The one in The Avengers was only a few thousand feet above the ground, and looking straight down at Stark Tower. His was a vision of a future Chitauri invasion, probably led by Thanos.[/sp]

[sp]I think he was just imaginating things that could happen in the future based on what happened in the past, not specifially a Chitauri ivasion led by Thanos. He's just traumatized with wormholes[/sp]
[sp]I think it would've been neat if Stark's vision was of a destroyed New York, implying that he didn't go through the wormhole to nuke the Chitauri mothership and thus let the aliens overrun the Avengers. Then Cap's line, "You could've saved us!" would have had a bit of context behind it. As a fan of "What if?" scenarios, I would've really enjoyed that.[/sp]

Thanos has exactly one metric fuckton of troops.
hah, I just realized the framed newspapers on the reporters wall in DD is of [sp]hulks harlem funhouse and the avengers NYC aftermath[/sp]
Happy mother's day from Deadpool

For some reason, I like the scenes of the Avengers just hanging out and not doing super hero-ey things a lot more than much of the rest of the film. Like I could easily watch an entire movie of the Avengers just hanging out and interacting, telling jokes, pulling pranks on each other etc etc.

tbh the main thing these films do right is the human aspect of the heroes. makes them a ton more relatable when they're capable of goofing around with each other a bit
Of course, if the party scene at the beginning was a 90 mins long film, I'll still watch it

Partying with the Avengers would be the most bitchin' Friday night ever.

I would totally watch the Hangover 4 "Surprise at Stark Tower".

When Scarlet Witch [sp]put her hands on the capsule with Vision, she was given the exact future events. Likely the same with Thor's vision. She is seeing the future, not just people's fears.[/sp]

This ignores the fact that [sp]Loki's scepter was cracked to create the gem Vision wore. It's just a cane now, and therefore pointless in the overall scheme of things.[/sp]

[sp] i mean if i think about how i'm gonna make a sandwich and i actually make a sandwich sure that's telling the future[/sp]
this conversation turned into bioshock infinite real fast
You should see what happens in the comic books when you can have different, rather stable futures in different comic books set roughly in the same period. Like with X-Men futures almost always being post apocalyptic hellhole while F4 futures are fricking techno utopias.
Or the time travel shenenigans, just check out Jean Grey history.

If it even happens[/sp]
