Is Channing Tatum's Gambit on the roster?

Don't think so but he popped up at the end of the panel. He may have a cameo to lead into his own film for all we know though.
So Origins is non canon right?
Oh silly me, i thought i clicked on the Arkham Series megathread.
Yeah Origins is super fucking non-canon.
So Origins is non canon right?
[sp]Didn't DoP retconned it? [/sp]
So Origins is non canon right?
Deadpool is actively retconning it so yeah. I'm sure we'll get some kind of explanation for what happened to Wolverine, maybe some kind of cameo in DP.
Yeah a lot of stuff in the trailer just missed with me like big chrome cock gobbler, a lot of the cursing felt like it was unnecessary and there just so they could say "See! We're using the rating!". I thought the actual jokes like GL and a couple of the jokes were they say Wade looks like shit were good but some of the actual, in-costume jokes missed.
I think its gonna be a split between great action scenes with shitty humor in-costume and more black/dark humor moments out of costume.
I'm hoping its just they just stuffed a lot of shit like that in the trailer to capture Waypool fans considering the old script but it might just an execution thing.
Although DMX was fuckin awesome
I feel like deadpool is funny and unique in the comic book universe but when you take him out of it he becomes a pretty generic comic relief character
Maybe it's kinda hard to show off Deadpool in a good way in a trailer?
The movie will probably be great
Maybe some of those scenes were shot for the trailer, because Deadpool knows hes in a movie.
The big problem with Deadpool is that he's become the internet's most favorite character for the wrong reasons. The Deadpool we dislike is Waypool, the one that people under 13 all over the world loved and have made the most "epic meme" of all.
It's a question of whether or not this movie will be just regurgitating what the internet likes or actual comedy.

Given that they want the movie to sell to the largest audience possible, it'll be Waypool without a doubt.

Except Ryan hates that run of Deadpool and probably would quit the movie if it was like it.

Nah, the films been in development since 2004 meaning Ryans been a fan at least 4 years before Waypool and the leaked script itself was pretty Kellypool and it was dated for 2010.
They say there's only been minor changes which I assume are to compensate for X-Men cinematic universe and other rights so I'm gonna remain hopeful.

AoU DC isn't happening because Joss says he's "super fucking lazy". Hope you liked AoU as was, I know I didn't
It has always been my ambition never to do a director’s cut of anything, and always to make the movie with the studio that we both want to make. Ultron was very complex. There was a lot of back-and-forth. My instinct is no. Just as an artist, I’m super fucking lazy and that sounds like it would be hard. I don’t think there’s interest in it, right now. You’ll see a bunch of stuff on the DVD in extras that were meant to be there. But the narrative came together very close to the way that I hoped it would, and I don’t think it needs me to constantly tweak it. I feel you put something out, and there it is.

[sp]Didn't DoP retconned it? [/sp]
I don't recall it. It retconned everything but Origins.
I don't recall it. It retconned everything but Origins.
Most of Origins took place after the the Past segments of DoFP did.
Plus, Stryker is completely different, and Wolverine was never in Nam.
But there was a single flashback during the mind reading segment to a scene from Origins. Also, First Class is still canon.

Dunno. I feel like just deleting Origins from my mind. [sp]There's a teen Emma Frost in Origins and DOFP has her death declared by Magneto. Also, Deadpool, Sabertooth and Professor X at the ending makes no sense at all. Feels like they just didn't even attempt to make it good.[/sp]
The Wolverine sequel will be Old man Logan
Hi I watched the panel and this is total bull.
He was talking about how young he looked in some old X-Men footage they showed and how now he feels like an old man. So made a joke about being Old Man Logan.
He never said it was a Wolverine film, he never said it was Old Man Logan, he never said anything apart from the fact it'll be his last film as Wolverine and Mangold is directing.
I don't recall it. It retconned everything but Origins.
i wouldn't necessarily say that
sure, wolverine still gets the adamantium, but the events of origins definitely don't happen. i'm also pretty sure deadpool is meant to exist in its own universe, considering the opening of the movie is supposed to lampoon his origins appearance.
I wonder how much more freedom the directors and writers of the smaller Marvel films have. The ones working on the bigger hero movies must be pushed around a lot more

I assume they get the same treatment as the bigger franchises. It is the reason after all why Antman lost it's original director.
Could someone change the title 'Marvel/Fox Cinematic Universes Megathread'
Could someone change the title 'Marvel/Fox Cinematic Universes Megathread'
Or someone could just make an "X-Men Film Franchise" thread.

Well now I think about it...nah it doesn't need a change
They won't be releasing the directors cut of Age of Ultron according to Joss Whedon
They won't be releasing the directors cut of Age of Ultron according to Joss Whedon
The statement Joss Whedon released regarding this:
It has always been my ambition never to do a director’s cut of anything and always to make the movie with the studio that we both want to make. yeah but i think the subtle difference between "we need to keep the same formula because this is a big, established hero" and "we need to keep the same formula so people are interested in this new hero" might be enough to change the way they deal with it. the best marvel movies so far have all been ones people expected little from, i.e. iron man, gotg, captain america 2 and if the reviews are to be believed, ant man
(and before you say people weren't "expecting little" from ca2, keep in mind the first one made a few million less than thor in the us and almost 100 million less worldwide, even though chris evans was fairly well known and chris hemsworth's biggest role before that was a 2 min scene at the start of star trek)
Why does it always seem that whenever Joss Whedon releases a movie that people aren't super taken with, he immediately goes on damage control and blames the studio for ruining everything in post, but then when asked to release a director's cut, he refuses?
