The ride starts with Bruce saying "I think it's working.. OH NO" then going Hulk, I can't recall if he says hulk smash, I just believe it's a roar. [editline]18th July 2015[/editline] "Universal announced that Marvel's new ownership would not affect Marvel Super Hero Island, and Disney CEO Robert Iger acknowledged that Disney would continue to honor any contracts that Marvel currently has with Disney competitors"
Ant-man spoilers [sp]so that Spiderman reference was pretty cool, huh? At first I thought this was something added in translation to Russian, because the movie was filmed before the deal with Sony was made, but apparently it actually is there. It's still weird though. It's one thing when you insert a post credits scene that was filmed well after the movie (the Civil War one), it's another when you refilm a scene after the film is supposedly completed. I mean the Sony leaks happened in December, and the deal wasn't finalised back them, at least judging by the e-mails. And the filming finished in December, so I guess they did reshoots? Maybe something will surface, really want to know this. The short musical reference to the Avengers was pretty cool, I remember thinking to myself: "wow, maybe he will actually meet an Avenger, that would be pretty cool", and then he did. I also liked that Howard Stark is played by John Slattery, just like in Iron Man 2, even though seeing Peggy with him instead of Dominic Cooper was weird.[/sp]
One thing I'm slightly confused about with Antman is [sp]when did Tony Stark's father actually die?[/sp]
You goofed your spoiler tag I SAW IT I SWEAR
One thing I'm slightly confused about with Antman is [sp]when did Tony Stark's father actually die?[/sp]
[sp]Going by rumors we'll find out in CW[/sp]
Found something about that reference I was talking about http://heroichollywood.com/home-1/2015/6/28/heroic-update-kevin-feige-explains-spider-mans-place-in-the-mcu-the-reference-in-ant-man-warner-bros-fox-announce-comic-con-panels-new-image-of-the-fantastic-four-powers-up-and-so-much-more
One thing I'm slightly confused about with Antman is [sp]when did Tony Stark's father actually die?[/sp]
[sp]The same thought occured to me to. I get that he was alive in the 60s, but 1989? The wiki says Tony was born in 1970 and made CEO at 21, when Howard died, so I guess 1991 is the year Howard was killed[/sp]
"Universal announced that Marvel's new ownership would not affect Marvel Super Hero Island, and Disney CEO Robert Iger acknowledged that Disney would continue to honor any contracts that Marvel currently has with Disney competitors"
That was a statement from the time Disney bought Marvel. Over the past few months, Disney has opened a Marvel Store in Disney World, advertised both AoU and Antman, and had the Marvel Experience on the east side of the Mississippi River (Chicago). All three of these things are in direct violation of the Universal agreement, and might hint that Disney bought Universal out of their contract. We won't know anything for sure though until d23 in mid August though. Also the current rumor is Marvel will leave Universal during the Hulk scheduled extended refurbishment later this year.

The more I hear about F4, the less impressed I get.
The only way Fantastic Four is gonna be good is if my toaster somehow sends us all to bizarro world. Where Citizen Kane swept the Razzies and Friedberg and Seltzer are considered visionaries of comedy.
You know a movie is going to be bad when even trailers look mediocre at best.
I will be very surprised if Fant4stic turns out to be the best film of the Summer.
So we're all in agreement that it's pronounced "fant-four-stick", right?
Everyone looks so bored on the trailers and posters. Miles Teller looks bored, Michael B. Jordan looks like he's regretting every choice that lead up to this moment, Kate Mara looks about ready to strangle her agent for getting her this role and the only character they could literally manipulate to look like he's giving a shit about it all looks the most bored.

DUMBER. STUPIDER. CRINGIER is all I can think of when it comes to this movie.

I'm usually the kind of person that pulls up the "it's an adaptation" excuse but... ... no. This is inexcusable.
On a lighter note, since its not happening, apparently Sony was going fucking NUTS before the whole ASM thing crashed and fucking burned. Im talking spin offs. A lot. -ASM: Kraven, 2016 (???) -Spider-Gwen/Sable team up, 2017 (???) -ASM: Black Cat, 2017 Spider-Man 2099, 2017 -ASM: Venom, 2018 -ASM: Jackal, 2019 (???) -Carnage, 2019 -Spider-Man 2099 2, 2020 Carnage would've been the Avengers movie for them (???) where they all meet up (???) and been hard PG-13. And then the second Spider-Man 2099 film would of been where he fucking destroys Mac Gargan because he's a dumb jobber. Thank you, sane, japanese side of Sony, for making sure this didnt happen. [editline]18th July 2015[/editline] Thats not including the Sinister Six movie or the original sequels planned. Speaking of, Sinister Six is apparently not cancelled, wondering if they're discussing it with Marvel. [sp]Please turn it into Thunderbolts starring the Sinister Six.[/sp]
I'm glad the new Fantastic Four film is happening. It will increase the chances of Marvel getting the rights back like ASM did.
I'm glad the new Fantastic Four film is happening. It will increase the chances of Marvel getting the rights back like ASM did.
But if it didnt happen, the rights would've reverted. I mean it doesnt really matter, the movies going to bomb fucking hard, but still.
i want to make a short film where marvel secretly infiltrates rival studios with bad writers and people with terrible decision making skills, like in captain america 2, to undermine the system and get the rights back
But if it didnt happen, the rights would've reverted. I mean it doesnt really matter, the movies going to bomb fucking hard, but still.
at least they will see that being greedy and making a movie only so the rights won't go back to marvel isn't very good and maybe this + ASM will make them rethink about rebooting shit
at least they will see that being greedy and making a movie only so the rights won't go back to marvel isn't very good and maybe this + ASM will make them rethink about rebooting shit
I mean, after this, and the repeated failures of the Fantastic Four film franchise [sp]and the non existent ad campaign[/sp], im sure they'll sell it back for a price. MS isnt getting X-Men for a long, long time though.
I can't even get over Kate Mara's gigantic head
I liked the Rouge cut more than the original. It added more to the movie i think.
