If there is an Ant Man film, pray to god that this won't happen

Better that than the whole sex scene on his dead buddy's grave with said buddy's girlfriend.
Different Ant-Man, though.
Has anything more come of the Planet Hulk rumour since it started?
Jonathan Ross has leaked some major Marvel-stuff.

He says Joss invited him to the Avengers 2 set the other day. He says they're filming already.
While talking about Jim Carrey in Kick Ass 2, Ross said "And he's just signed on for another super hewo film- but I'm pwobably not allowed to talk about that". He was talking about Guardians of the Galaxy just before that. Plus Jim was already rumoured for a role in that.
They've already started filming Avengers 2? Damn.
Most likely not
That's what I thought but Ross is adamant it's otherwise. He's mates with Joss. Like he's mates with pretty much everybody in the industry.
It would make some sort of sense to do some filming now, if principal photography has finished for Winter Soldier, Iron Man 3, and Thor 2.
Fair point.
Apparently Dave Bautista was cast as Drax the Destroyer

Was hoping for Jason Momoa to get the role
Ross was probably thinking of the Shield TV series to be fair.
Perhaps. Speaking of which, should that be added to the OP? And also, is anyone else wondering how Coulson's gonna come back?
^LMD
I thought this had been discussed to death in the Avengers thread?
Yeah, good point. Joss probably has a good reason.
A little late but I don't think it has been posted here: Ant-Man test footage
It hasn't
But here it is

The Ant-Man idea looks dumb
The Ant-Man idea looks dumb
Maybe thats because its test footage?
Yeah, its not going to be in the film
Its a proof of concept, probably not even real actors doing anything. Its just to show that they have something
I thought Drax was the average sized muscular guy, not Dave Bautista size
He did pretty good as the "big guy" in the man with the iron fists though, even if that was a shitty movie
Phase 2 concept art

I think it looked cool.
But please continue to be critical of an incomplete 5 second piece of test footage filmed off a screen with no context. Even though people who have seen it critically said it was REALLY good.
That concept art looks cool, but I can't really tell what movies the 2nd and 3rd are for
That concept art looks cool, but I can't really tell what movies the 2nd and 3rd are for
I believe the second one is from Thor: The Dark World, I have no idea about the third.
My Avengers Assembled box set arrived today!

modern redesign or something idk
So I'm guessing they're really working on it? What's the order they're gonna be released, again?
Is it IM3 > Thor 2 > CA2 > Guardians > Ant man > avengers 2 ?
Ant Man comes out after Avengers 2. That way they can have the character in it and get more publicity before the full movie is released.
For the Guardians it'll be due to Thanos. Ant-Man becomes a part of the team in the comics so anything is possible.
Becomes part of the team? Ant-Man is an Avengers founding member.

Also, Ant-Man won't be in Avengers 2, he's confirmed to be a phase three hero.

Close.
Iron Man 3 (May 3, 2013), Thor 2 (November 8, 2013), Cap 2 (April 4, 2014), Guardians (August 1, 2014), Avengers 2 (May 1, 2015), Ant-Man (November 6, 2015)
Some dates obviously subject to change.
[editline]11th April 2013[/editline]
My current theory is that Iron Man 3 will see Tony bonded with Extremis, Thor 2 will lead to Thor mantling his father, Cap 2 will reassure Cap of his role in things and expand on S.H.I.E.L.D., Guardians will likely not deal with Thanos, but rather expose him, then the Guardians and the Avengers will beat up on Thanos in Avengers 2.
No strong theory on Ant-Man, though Wright has said it's an origin story, so we know that at least. Wright also said it will feature both Henry Pym and Scott Lang, but I doubt it will lead to Pym being one of his other aliases and Lang being Ant-Man. I would also bet on Wasp being in it.
Sometime during the course of all this, we'll likely have more news on the phase three films, which I bet will be a few new films or films for those that have yet to have their own rather than more Cap Iron Man and Thor.
I'm betting on them doing a few mash-ups too, rather than doing movies for individual characters and then leading into Avengers, we'll probably see some movies like Cap and Iron Man, and the like.
[editline]11th April 2013[/editline]
And now that I think about it, adding Ant-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe likely means that Ultron will be the focus of Avengers 3.
