I'm betting on them doing a few mash-ups too, rather than doing movies for individual characters and then leading into Avengers, we'll probably see some movies like Cap and Iron Man, and the like.
Heroes for Hire featuring Daredevil would be cool. I'm sure they said they had plans for the Punisher too.
Dear god that's a shitload of heroes for a movie
I mean, considering that the most the industry has seen in a single movie was the avengers movie itself with like 8 heroes, counting Loki and Fury
Now iron man, war machine, captain america, hulk, fury, black widow, hawkeye, ant man, thor, odin, those 4(?) lesser gods in Asgard, punisher, daredevil, and all the members of the guardians

Captain America 2 will introduce Falcon as well. Plus, we'll manage to see Dr. Strange for a brief moment on Thor 2 if the rumours are correct.
And I'm betting that we'll se Hank Pym on a Phase Two movie, just as Hank Pym, without his Ant-Man stuff.

What?
Post above mine
I love the Phase One box set. The amount of detail they put in to it is incredible.
Those hero files that come with it sound really cool

And the winter soldier.
Theres going to be so many mashups.
Avengers two is going to have the avengers AND guardians of the galaxy most likely.
its just gonna be like 20 heroes in avengers 3.
I wasn't big on the lore of the avengers but was there like an enemy group that fought them often?

I'm pretty sure those guys won't be part of the Avengers, maybe they'll have a small cameo, but not a role of significance.

Also I have the nasty suspicion that [sp]Joss will kill off Tony in Avengers 2. I don't think he will, but this is Joss we're talking about here and Iron Man 3 is Downey Jr.'s last Iron Man film.[/sp]

Iron Man 3 being Downey's last is unconfirmed. All we know is his contract is about to expire and he's slightly worried about diminishing returns. He likes the character, the company, and the movies, he probably just needs some more money to assure him that the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn't suddenly going to drop out of popularity.
Also Kevin Feige has gone on record saying that if/when Downey quits as Stark they'll try do a recast rather than starting over/killing him off/what have you.
I personally don't think it will happen.
I really hope it doesn't happen. Wasn't IM the movie that really brought him back to the mainstream movie scene? Unless there's some really major problems (worrying about being always attached to the character maybe, and money issues), Id find it odd if he left.

The Masters of Evil.

One of his worries is apparently that he's going to overstay his welcome. I don't think he understands just how much people love him as Stark.

He pretty much said as long as the fans still love Iron Man and he still is having a good time playing Iron Man hes going to stay Iron Man.
he IS Tony Stark. Nobody else could possibly play him.

People get exhausted from overexposure, typically when something is so good its worth overexposing.
Remember when people thought hugh jackman playing wolverine was the bee's knees?
Yeah now they talk shit about him.

I think people still love him as Wolverine, they just want better X-men movies.

Nobody talks crap about Hugh Jackman as wolverine, they talk crap about the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Big difference.
Yeah, Jackman still rocks as Wolverine, but the X-Men movies have all gone to hell since X2.
I can't watch the X-Men films because I immediately become entranced by Storm :(

Im sure they said that about James Bond when they got rid of Connery.
are you on dope, x2 was the best one of the trilogy
I'm saying that everything after X2 was shit.

First Class?
I'll admit that I didn't watch it, but nothing I saw really piqued my interest, plus some friends of mine who had seen it said it wasn't all that special.
Watch it, you really won't regret it

Your friends are stupid wow
First Class was my favourite X-Men film.
I'll have to check it out then. Perhaps ridicule my friends.
