[sp]So after seeing Captain America II last night, I can't help but to wonder if they're planning to bring back the Red Skull because they never really said he was actually dead because as far as we know, the Tesseract may have just teleported him to another world.[/sp]
Red Skull is on his way to his home planet, along with Abomination, Leader, the REAL Mandarin, Justin Hammer, and Arnim Zola.
Whether or not any of them will die on the way is up in there air at the moment.
Squirrel Girl would be AMAZING if done right.
She's one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe.
Single-handedly taken down Wolverine, Dr. Doom, and the real Thanos (the Watcher was on hand and confirmed that he was indeed the genuine article).
The joke was funny once.
It hasn't been funny since.

Hugo Weaving has stated he has no intention of being in any Captain America movies. So they'd have to get a new actor.
Such a shame, he was a fantastic Redskull.
[sp]I thought someone on here said there was a rumor that the Red Skull would have a cameo in Guardians. Probably false, but it'd be neat nonetheless.[/sp]
[sp]In the draft script for The Winter Soldier, Pierce would have revealed himself as the Red Skull, but this was removed as they felt this was going a bit far[/sp]
If they do want to bring back the Red Skull, then they could do it the same way as the Brubaker Cap run, where he had his mind transferred into a different body by the cosmic cube.
Or they could introduce one of the other Red Skulls from the comic.
Apparently in an interview Hugo Weaving said he was contractually bound to the role of red skull
so even if he doesn't want to do it they can make him but he doubts they will.

Not really. He doesn't want to, yes, but when called upon to do it, he will have too
thank god
twists just for the sake of a twist is dumb
I'd had liked it, just to voice my opinion
wasn't that twist based on the supposed soundtrack listing?
i think staff seargent puerto rico the autumn patrolman was better than the avengers
it was p fucking good
If I were to, I would make a fan film remake of Iron Man 3 and have Trevor Slattery actually be the Mandarin and have Guy Pierce's character be non existant.
At least we know that the real Mandarin exists.
Felt like pandering imo
Seriously. He wasn't going to really exist. Marvel's just trying to quell the backlash.

The Panderin

At least they accept that people weren't happy with it and are trying to correct themselves instead of pushing not-Mandarin for Summer Slam.

they did it with a great one-shot so i'm alright with it
I hope they make the most of it and do a good version of this real Mandarin feller.

Not happening. They had a chance to do it and they blew it. Then the guy who originally came up with the idea of a different Mandarin tried to atone for his sins with that one-shot, which probably won't lead into a future story despite how good it was.
I still like the Mandarin's role in the film itself, although it was disrespectful to the character. I always hear about how he's better in IM3 because the character was really stereotypical in the comics. Yet somehow those same people ignore how a propaganda piece like Captain America was shaped into a believable character on screen.

I loved when people would be like "THEY COULDN'T DO THE MANDARIN, HE MADE TO INSULT CHINESE PEOPLE".
Like they wouldn't change him into an asian terrorist or something (or just do what we ended up getting.
Like they'd send fucking Mickey Rooney from Breakfast at Tiffany's out there with big round glasses and buck teeth, all "HAHAHA ILON MAN, I WIRR DEFEAT YOU, CAPETARIST PIGDOG! YOU RIKE-A FLIED LICE?"

Although terrible, it would be hilarious if the character was literally like that.
I really don't want any more solo Iron Man movies, Tony has one of the weakest rogue gallery's. There's alot of characters in the Marvel universe that desperately need some love.
Well just pointing out what I would like to do, don't mind the dumbs. In fact I'm saving money to get Hot Toys Mandarin, since I like Ben Kingsley and the fact his character looks cool (might buy a sword to go with it).
anyway, I would like the Red Skull to make a cameo or reappearance, perhaps in Cap 3.
I still like the Mandarin in IM3. It's clear they were trying to make a statement on the idea of putting faces on the enemy and labeling them as 'evil' whilst using that as a way to further their own interests. I don't doubt that's what happened in the creation of the actual Mandarin. An evil face to put on communism to rile up patriotic fervor against it.

RDJ's contract only obligates him to make appearances in other movies from now on, IIRC.

It was about how easy it is for rich people to manipulate the masses through scare tactics, and that was achieved through use of a foreign-seeming man.

That's... exactly what I said?
The Iron Man movies have always had some kind of commentary on something within post-9/11 America ever since they changed his origin from Vietnam to Afghanistan. The Mandarin was pretty much their way of saying that this whole 'axis of evil' and then pointing at the enemy and going 'bad guy, bad guy, bad guy' and then labeling an entire race as 'bad guys' would only provide momentary comfort. People need that 'I'm on the good side' feeling, they need to know who the 'bad guy' of the picture is, otherwise they feel confused and lost. People have been doing it for ages.

Well you didn't say anything about the rich people aspect
I've been thinking: I wonder if there going to split Avengers Infinity (I'm not sure if Whedon is going to do more Avengers movies after the trilogy). [sp]We know that Thanos is going to invade Asgard and Loki will probably get his ass kicked or killed, Thor would probably ask for the Avengers help to take back Asgard and defeat Thanos.[/sp] I think having the 3rd movie as one whole is too much (it would probably feel crammed in or rushed), its probably best if they split it into two parts but we'll see what happens.
