This thread got wierd. Like everything about comics. And not the good kind of wierd. The bad kind of comics wierd.
We need a thread for pure Marvel discussion beyond the Cinematic Universe.
We need a thread for pure Marvel discussion beyond the Cinematic Universe.
There is a Comics thread in the General Discussion bit of this place. Don't know if it's popular. [editline]7th June 2014[/editline] It's the shame the industry is full of dirty old men and people whos stories have to be approved and edited by dirty old men for an audience they think are also dirty old men and teens with dim wits and short attention spans.
There is a Comics thread in the General Discussion bit of this place. Don't know if it's popular.
I am aware of that, but I am talking about a place for pure Marvel talk, such as Marvel games, comics, Merch, and TV shows.
Adam McKay (Anchorman) is directing Ant-Man

And now he's not
But he will be contributing to the script, with Peyton Reed directing
So the guy who directed a lot of Weird Al Show episodes and Yes Man? Okay then...
But he will be contributing to the script, with Peyton Reed directing
Best of luck to them, but I still feel pretty bad for Peyton Reed. As someone else has said:
This is a no-win situation for Reed. It it's good/okay: "Imagine how good it would have been if Wright directed." If it's bad: "They should have just let Wright make his movie."
But for me as long as it's a good film and fits into the MCU well then I won't care.
This guy is behind Mr. Show, and that synopsis has gotten me hyped up again. Bring it on.
I kinda wish the rumors about a Ms. Marvel movie were true
MCU Ms Marvel = Skye from Agents of Shield. It's clearly heading down that road. Specially as she now has [sp]Kree DNA.[/sp] I don't think Skye is even her real name is it? It's her hacker name, hence the lack of surname. Mavel's way of keeping her real name of Carol Danvers a secret?
so where does the howard the duck film fit into the mcu?

It is starting to look like I might be right. [editline]8th June 2014[/editline]
so where does the howard the duck film fit into the mcu?
It doesn't. I wonder if he will be ever put in though.
It doesn't. I wonder if he will be ever put in though.
why would they disassociate themselves with that gem?
The Dark Overlord of the Universe was actually Thanos. After Howard the Duck banished him from Earth's dimension, Thanos decided to have other people do his dirty work before he would make his return 31 years later
so where does the howard the duck film fit into the mcu?
well, it was a marvel comic series, so it wouldn't be related to the ducktits film.
We got another Marvel trailer for Disney Infinity:

Good choice.
So both Latino-Review and Badass Digest have supposedly gotten hold of some spoilers for what LR calls the first 15-20 minutes of Age of Ultron.
I want 160-180 minute Avenger movie please
That intro sounds so amazing. ugh it's released next year :(
I love how one of them makes a point to say [sp]in a world where Batman is fighting Superman, the Avengers are having parties.[/sp] Really illustrates the difference between the two.
Cap 2 is highest grossing movie of US box office, beat that hugh jackson and spidey
Deserved it. They made a great sequel.
Cap 2 is highest grossing movie of US box office, beat that hugh jackson and spidey
I'm guessing you meant to say "for 2014" since it's nowhere near close to being the highest for US box office, but for 2014 it won't have #1 until this weekend rolls around, and even then it'll still have to contend with transformers and maybe (according to some websites) the new how to train your dragon movie for that title. [editline]12th June 2014[/editline] Worst case scenario is 3rd place and that's still pretty damn solid.
Deserved it. They made a great sequel.
I haven't seen many movies released this year, but out of the ones I have Cap 2 is easily the best one.

But the finale Middle Earth adventure on the big screen will inevitably blow it out of the water come December.
