I was checking out some random tumblr blog I follow and the person reblogged someone complaining that Elizabeth Olsen, a white woman, is playing someone of Romani/Jewish/whatever heritage.
I mean, let's aside the fact that Jewish people can be white and that's a thing the post acknowledges (which is kinda stupid). But would calling her Maximoff or even referring to her heritage (not Magneto specifically) be seen as tripping into Fox's rights over the mutant side of the character?
It really depends on how anal Fox's lawyers are and if they even notice.
