The actors are really very good. Simmons almost made me cry twice :v:
i remember when i was hyped for shield. but then i saw the trailer and the C-list actors who look so generic and sound so untalented. but then again, that's the abc channel for you
Skye lives in a van and is beautiful with clean clothes and hair and perfect make up.
Whedon writes great female characters. Sadly they are all generic to look at. He makes stories about beautiful people. It's fine for super heroes, less for everything else.

Just looks too artificial for me, having those perfect looking actors just ruins the chance of being immersed in a believable world.
And I don't mean we should only have ugly actors, but some normal looking people that fit the world they live in would be better.
Agents of Shield is sadly the sort of show where a female character can wake up from a nightmare with perfect make up and glamorous hair.
The writing got really good towards the end. Sadly not good enough to distract from the superficiality of it all. The only non pin-up major character was the villain. I have hopes for Season 2 though.

Fitz is short and awkward though?
Fitz is short and awkward though?
But he's awkward in an adorable way. He's still good looking and well kept.
I haven't seen the show, but what are the explanations for all these people with superpowers?
[editline]24th August 2014[/editline]
Are they 'inhumans'?
What people with super powers?
I can think of maybe 2 or 3 super powered characters. I think they were experimented on.

Oh. My. Goodness. I love that with every rumour about an actor being rumoured to play it's someone even more fitting. But right now I don't think anyone can top Richard Harrow (but the same I was thinking about Leto).

He looks like he could pull off Strange really well.
Richard Harrow (from pictures i just googled) doesn't look to have the same presence that the cocky doctor would need.
This guy does.
Jeremy Renner says Hawkeye might be in Captain America 3
Would make sense since Capt is heavily involved with SHIELD and so is Hawkeye.
Even after Capt 2, I can see SHIELD being around somehow to use both.
also hawkeye and cap have a rivalry in the comics
Falcon, Black Widow, and now Hawkeye. Cap must get tired being around all these animal themed personalities.
also hawkeye and cap have a rivalry in the comics
He also dies in the comics. Wonder if they're going to nick him.
Having Captain, Falcon, Black Widow, Winter Soldier/Bucky and Hawkeye is a lot of protagonists in one non-Avengers movie.

Only one of which is really a solo movie character.
Has Black Widow been confirmed for Cap 3? At the end of 2 she doesn't say she's going with him to look for Bucky, only Falcon.
People were worried an Avenger might die in Avengers 2. It won't be Steve for sure. Cap 3 still needs him or the Bucky story loses impact.
(PS- I've only just seen Cap 2, hours ago. Holy shit that is an incredible film)
I can see Hawkeye being killed off in Avengers 2.
Jeremy Renner got the ball rolling, telling Collider that he’d heard "rumblings" of a beefed-up role in Captain America 3. Seeing as how Joss Whedon’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron hasn’t yet played it cards, it would be early for the Russos to reveal what they had in store. But still, I had them on the phone this afternoon, and asked them which Avengers they would like to have at their disposal for a Black Widow-sized role.
"That’s such a hard question because we’ve kind of already done that," Joe Russo told me, saying they already built characters into their screenplay. "Do they have to be under contract with Marvel? Maybe they are at another studio."
Also:
Listen, when I started collecting, The Secret Wars was one of the first books I ever bought, so that’s always been an obsession of mine to see something of that scale done – a crossover. I don’t know if that would ever be possible, with all the different situations at the studios. But I would love to see a lot of characters on screen together."
I think everybody would shit the bed if Secret Wars become a thing.
People say the studio situation makes it impossible. It doesn't. It makes it challenging. But it's possible and it will happen eventually.
i really like secret wars, but as a campy 80s story. idk if it'd have the same charm if it was transfered to the big screen
but then again, they'd probably have to change so much that it'd end up being something else entirely
I would rather see Marvel's Civil War tbh, but I don't think there's enough superheroes on film to make much of it.

Agent 13 better get out of the way

Civil War seems like it would be better later on down the line.
What I want to see is a Planet Hulk movie that leads to World War Hulk being an Avengers movie.

It would have to waaay down the line. It involved just about every single superhero Marvel has but right now we only have this list:
Captain America
Ironman
Hawkeye
Dr. Strange
Hulk
Antman
Thor
Black Widow
Not very large for a big "civil war" thing.

Apparently [sp]Banner and Widow[/sp] are love interests in Avengers 2 according to people who saw the preview.
The only problem I had with the winter soldier plot was why, when all this shit was going down, why didnt steve think [sp]"lets call up stark or stop by to tell him that sheild is actually nazis and the free world is ending."[/sp] I mean I know they have to keep stark out of it because its not an iron man movie, but they could have came up with a better excuse like "starks on vacation bear hunting" or some shit.

Because Captain America doesn't need some fancy tech to [sp]beat the shit out of Hydra[/sp] :v:
Plus, Stark and Rogers don't get along very much, let alone the fact that Stark isn't really a formal part of SHIELD like Rogers is.
