Current Rumor is that Ewan McGregor is the current favorite to play Dr. Strange http://screencrush.com/doctor-strange-ewan-mcgregor-rumor/
On top of the rumours he's doing an Obi-Wan trilogy soon? One or both are fake. A marvel movie takes a full 2 years to make and promote. It's why Downey Jr has been trying to get out of it. An Obi-Wan movie would be the same. He would make a great Dr Strange but I think I'd rather see him get a fair crack of the whip as Obi-wan in a movie with practical effects, great direction and writing.
The Quinjet's getting a redesign for Age of Ultron:

Here's a short list of who Marvel apparently wants for Doctor Strange. http://screenrant.com/marvel-doctor-strange-casting-actors/

Oscar Isaac has three Star Wars films ahead of him, Jared Leto stars in one film every few years because he's too busy with 30StoM, so I doubt he'll pick up a restrictive contract - same with Matthew McConaughey who got really careful with his casting choices. Ethan Hawke is kind of a strange choice - despite his brilliant independent roles he's non-existent in mainstream Hollywood, starring only in pure shits like Getaway or The Purge - a really risky choice for Marvel. That leaves us with Gyllenhaal and McGregor: both really safe choices, but that's what makes them dull.
i demand keanu
I want to see Liam Neeson as the good Doctor. Speaking of, would anybody know where I can find the Eternity Saga?

The biggest downside to Isaac is he'll be incredibly busy for the next five or so years. And I could reasonably see any one of those actors as Strange, although Leto and McConaughey probably won't do it.
Why not try a new, up and coming actor? [editline]15th October 2014[/editline] Also, I don't know much about Doctor Strange but apparently reading this thread he's very popular?
Both are Disney properties, so I'm sure they could work something out, shooting schedule-wise.
The point is, it wouldn't be a good decision from a marketing standpoint. The same person being the face and leader of two of the most important Disney live-action divisions? No, I can't see it. [editline]15th October 2014[/editline] Also, I don't know much about Doctor Strange but apparently reading this thread he's very popular?
Doctor Strange's popularity is let's say reasonable, but he's very intriguing character, but what's more important for the MCU is that he's Kevin Feige's favourite superhero with lots of hinting at him taking the leading role in the universe (kind of like Tony Stark recently), that's why he received a lot of popularity, even from the people that never read comic books. For the less popular actor I'm for Jack Huston. I'd love Strange with this specific melancholic aura this guy had in Boardwalk Empire. And he's extremely talented.

I can't find it.
So Ryan Gosling has apparently been approached/eyed by both Marvel and DC. Marvel side it's rumored he talked with marvel about becoming doctor strange, which although he doesn't fit the image of it, I wouldn't mind him being Strange as I am a fan of him. DC side, he is apparently eyed to be apart of the suicide squad. Personally I want him to be on Marvel's side, I don't know much of Suicide Squad so I don't know how well he'd fit one of those roles.

Isaac could be a one film wonder. He might not even have that much of a prominent role. [editline]16th October 2014[/editline] Moviecricket say the rumour of McGregor being Dr Strange is all wrong. His meetings at Disney have infact been for an Obi-Wan trilogy. The trilogy has been rumoured for a while after a website reportedly saw some leaked art for the Obi Wan trilogy.
Ewan McGregor has found his name put on a very select list of actors who are reportedly being considered for the role of Marvel’s Doctor Strange. Whilst this may still be true, the report claims Ewan McGregor is being groomed for the role of Stephen Strange and that a meeting is to take place between Marvel and McGregor to determine if he’d be interested in playing the Sorcerer Supreme. We have been told this is not quite accurate. According to the source the meeting is in fact between Disney and Ewan McGregor where they will discuss the possibility of the actor reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the rumoured Star wars spin-off trilogy.
http://www.moviecricket.com/ewan-mcgregor-meeting-disney-discuss-obi-wan-kenobi-trilogy-58829/ Not Ewan McGregor.
Just realized that if Ironman is in Captain America III for Civil War, then that erases all rumors of him dying in Avengers II Age of Ultron.
Well, that kind of sucks. In the sense that it removes some of the tension, that is.
downey wouldn't be playing some flashback role in avengers 3, that's for sure
Maybe they'll have Thor "die" in Avengers 2 then.
Eh, I don't want any main Avengers killed off in just the second team film, it feels way too soon.
If Thor died and Thor 3 is just him fighting his way out of Hel, I don't even know how I would contain my hype. It would overflow and get everywhere.
If Thor died and Thor 3 is just him fighting his way out of Hel, I don't even know how I would contain my hype. It would overflow and get everywhere.
That'd actually be a really cool way to go about things
Thor 3: What the Hel?!
Thor 3: Bat Out of Hel
Thor 3: Oh Hel No!
Thor 3: Not Beta Ray Bill :(
Just realized that if Ironman is in Captain America III for Civil War, then that erases all rumors of him dying in Avengers II Age of Ultron.
Wasn't the Civil War confirmed for false crap? I thought that was just hotheaded fans' assumption that "if there's Iron Man in CA film then it's obviously Civil War".
Wasn't the Civil War confirmed for false crap? I thought that was just hotheaded fans' assumption that "if there's Iron Man in CA film then it's obviously Civil War".
Still confirms Ironman lives
