Marvel continues to do everything good and right, once again.

well i thought that would be kinda obvious, i mean it was rumored that garfield would be dropped after asm3 and ss anyways and that the series would push to use miles morales, which it would be neat to see happen in the mcu. i just hope they don't try to use that as some excuse to recast tony stark to allow more iron man movies. not to mention the asm movies aren't that great.

no, the rumor was just that with the sinister six spinoff a new spider-man would come, nobody said if it was miles morales
it's really sad drew goddard left daredevil to do a spinoff that might not even be happening anymore

I liked Garfield as Spidey.
That said, please for the love of god let this happen.
Garfield is a good spidey, but Sony can't make a good spiderman universe.
So if having Spidey in Marvel's shared universe takes another new cast for spiderman, well sorry Garfield, you're a good spiderman but, the opportunity of a shared universe > Sony's spiderman.
The problem with the Amazing series is that they were very obviously made just to retain the rights.
They got a good cast (Garfield, Emma Stone, Dennis Leary, etc.), but everything else about it is completely and utterly manufactured.
I hope it goes to Marvel; Sony will get their money, Marvel will get Spidey, and we'll get a proper modern film version of Marvel's flagship character integrated into the MCU.
Everyone gets what they want, except for Andrew Garfield I suppose.
A shame, since he's apparently a huge Spider-Man fan, but the ends justify the means in this situation.
Couldn't they just keep Garfield as Spider-Man but in a new canon? He's too good for the part to just completely disregard.
Well, unless they got Donald Glover as Miles Morales instead, that'd definitely be more interesting.
On the topic of actors, and I know this has been argued to death by now but, I always personal thought that Tobey did a better job with the Peter Parker character than Andrew.
Andrew just looks too much like a cool kid than a nerd, even with big glasses on. Tobey pulled off the nerd look better.
[sp]And I'm talking about Spiderman 1 and 2, 3 completely ruined Tobey's Parker character.[/sp]

Andrew pulls off the Parker as well as the comical spiderman character imo. Reminds me of Spectacular Spiderman off Disney XD.
Also I haven't looked into Morales' character for spiderman, but I think if they're going to do the Civil War story line, they should keep it to Peter Parker. Especially if they want to reboot Spiderman. Not sure if Morales is known as much as Peter and it might just confuse people.

I never really saw the comics, so my view could be completely different from any other Spiderman fan.
I just honestly think Tobey looks much more like a nerd than Andrew does.
I don't know who is Morales at all though, never seen him in anything related to Spiderman.
all i ever wanted was the animated series on the big screen
neither of them got it.
they should bring back Tobey Maguire

But at the same time, it might be just what the series needs to be new and interesting instead of just a retread of the same thing again, especially considering there are two different series of films now.
they should bring back Tobey Maguire
too old
though i guess it could fit for the civil war storyline, but i'd rather have someone in the 25-30 age area
Ultron hate Hydra?

no
It doesn't really help your case in the whole "Tobey Maguire is a bad Spider-Man" (he's not) by posting that scene
i really liked tobey as spidey but he's just too old. guy's almost 40 and he looks like it.
besides, spider man so far worked best in stories when he was still a teen/young adult.
[editline]13th December 2014[/editline]
maybe get the guy for a possible spider-girl movie where peter is a crippled one legged guy
[editline]13th December 2014[/editline]
also i'm sure there are loads of actors out there who could play a really good spider-man and peter

in the context of the movie that scene makes perfect sense and i liked it
no it just screams "i havent bothered watching the first 2 raimi films and dont plan to anyway" which would be fine if it werent for holding the most obnoxiously ignorant opinion
I've seen them
Someone should really explain the concept of subtlety to Sam Raimi
in the context of the movie that scene makes perfect sense and i liked it
It may have made perfect sense in context but it's still cringeworthy as fuck.
Will Hydra be taken care of in or around Avengers 2?
It may have made perfect sense in context but it's still cringeworthy as fuck.
that's the point
Will Hydra be taken care of in or around Avengers 2?
It's confirmed that HYDRA will be in the movie. As for being "taken care of"...? Cut off one head and two will take its place.
It's confirmed that HYDRA will be in the movie. As for being "taken care of"...? Cut off one head and two will take its place.
That's why you burn the whole fucking body to death heh heh :v: .
I don't see Hydra ever being taken care of in the MCU. They're an opposing human force that could always go against SHIELD and affects the Avengers in some way.
also quick question on the twins and season 2 winter finale for AoS spoilers [sp] If I remember correctly the button scene for Cap 2 was that hydra was using the staff to give people powers.
On agents of shield they used the mist to give people powers. If Marvel wanted to introduce the twins as inhumans, would it be likely that there are several ways for inhumans to get their powers then? I never read the comics about Inhumans so I don't know if that's already the case or not. [/sp]
Isn't Stark going to make Ultron to deal with Hydra?
And in Civil War, I vote for Stark. Brains over Braun.
Isn't Stark going to make Ultron to deal with Hydra?
No.
And in Civil War, I vote for Stark. Brains over Braun.
Its funny because Iron Man uses more brawn than Captain America does.
Isnt the whole reason Cap is the leader is because of his ability to... well, lead And formulate tactics?
Isn't Stark going to make Ultron to deal with Hydra?
IIRC, [sp]After their shuffle with HYDRA, Stark builds Ultron as a "hero to be there when we're too busy", sorta so the Avengers can take a day off sometimes.[/sp]
And in Civil War, I vote for Stark. Brains over Braun.
I vote Captain America, not only because he's my number favorite Marvel character, but I feel sticking to your principles > following orders, which is what Stark kind of does.
so you know guardians came out on video this week.
i finally gots it :D
