IIRC, [sp]After their shuffle with HYDRA, Stark builds Ultron as a "hero to be there when we're too busy", sorta so the Avengers can take a day off sometimes.[/sp] I vote Captain America, not only because he's my number favorite Marvel character, but I feel sticking to your principles > following orders, which is what Stark kind of does.
Ah, I thought they were shooting at Hydra during the teaser. As for Civil War I don't know anything about the comics, but from the movies it seems like Stark could beat Captain America because he's got more resources and he's a genius who escaped from terrorists by building an Arc reactor and an Ironman suite in a cave from scapes. He's also a sneaky fucker.
Yeah but it's not just Stark vs Cap. They're just the figureheads of their own movements. You got everybody else filing in too. Seems at one point Marvel were even hoping for Spiderman to pop up in the film, in the comic he plays a pretty huge role. So I'm curious as to who will fill in his place.
^^ Black Panther
It's already been confirmed that Black Panther replaced Spider-Man's role in the film.
I thought there was a difference between speculation and confirmation?
In an interview they confirmed BP was in because they didn't have the rights to Spider-Man. I'll try and find it.

It only ends when [sp]Captain America gives himself up after seeing how much their fight is causing so much damage[/sp] But what really matters, in my opinion, is what happens after the Civil War: [sp]Captain America dies[/sp]
It's already been confirmed that Black Panther replaced Spider-Man's role in the film.
Does this mean his involvement won't be as stupidly written as in the comic?
Does this mean his involvement won't be as stupidly written as in the comic?
The script isn't being written by Mark Millar, so it's going to take something special to be as stupid as the comic.
Good. I loved the Civil War comics but every facet of Spider-Man's involvement was just piss poor.
So some more stuff came out from the leaks. Not only is there a rumor that Marvel and Sony are meeting up in January to work out a deal (which would include Avi Arad fucking off), but we've also got some news regarding what Fox plans to do with their properties: build towards a Fantastic Four/X-Men teamup. Ah yes, the classic Fantastic Four/X-Men teamup. That... classic combination!... which I never remember seeing... but I'm one hundred percent sure it'll work- even though if you think about it they're gonna have to recast pretty much everyone in the X-Men minus Wolverine as the current cast is in the 80's and the FF cast is in the 2010's.

[editline]14th December 2014[/editline] Also i hope to fuck that Marvel and Sony actually work something out. Spider-Man PLEASE. No but really, he has the best villians of all of Marvel pretty much, besides Red Skull, Thanos, Doom, Mandarin, Galactus, and some others. Sinister Six anyone?
Just get the original trilogy cast?
Days of Future Past was clearly meant to be a goodbye to them.
Days of Future Past was clearly meant to be a goodbye to them.
...What.
...What.
Dude, why would they recast Jean Grey, Cyclops, and all the other roles for Apocalypse, only to bring the same actors back later? Seems like it would just confuse the audience. Plus, most of the actors are getting old. Really old. That was the intention behind First Class, to start off a new series with new actors.

If theres a team up with the FF set in modern times, who are they going to get!?!?!?
Because its set in the 80's. If theres a team up with the FF set in modern times, who are they going to get!?!?!?
New actors, plain and simple.
New actors, plain and simple.
And that would be even more confusing than if the old actors reprised their roles (which wouldnt be confusing at all if you just pay attention to when the movies take place). Age differences between Apocalypse and X-Men 1, sure, acceptable, as long as the actors chosen for Apocalypse are similar enough. Them suddenly changing into someone else, and then back again for the opening[sp]/end[/sp]of DOFP? Stupid. [editline]14th December 2014[/editline] Everyone would bitch about it. Everyone. Everyone who'd go to see the movie, every reviewer, would point it out.

Who do you Fox will want for a Scott Summers in his twenties/thirties: currently 41 year old James Marsden or a new actor? Who do you think they'll want for a Jean Grey in her twenties/thirties: fifty year old Famke Jassen or a new actress? Who do you think they'll want for Storm in her twenties/thirties: forty eight year old Halle Berry or a new actress? Also, keep in mind these are their current ages. This team-up movie ain't coming until after FF2, if that even happens. And that's in 2017. And keep in mind these old actors will want more money due to the history attached to the role. And keep in mind that this is not for one movie, but probably for two, three, even four, over the course of several years.

I wasnt arguing about the casting of X-Men Apocalypse, i was saying it'd be stupid to change it for the FF crossover if it takes place circa "now". [editline]14th December 2014[/editline] Cause im pretty sure they're not in their 20's if they're going to show up in the 80's.

The actors casted for Apocalypse will play the characters in this possible team-up. The ones that'll be changed are characters like Magneto and Mystique and Xavier.
I honestly dont think they'd do that. They have to know that it'd cause a shitstorm. Whatever, this is offtopic anyway.
I would gladly see everyone recast except for Wolverine, Magneto, Xavier and Mystique (Lawrence). I understand Stewart and McKellen could be too old now though. The rest of the cast I don't care about at all, I actually think some of them helped make the character on screen worse than they were in comics.
Whose side's do Hulk and Thor take?
Neither.
In the comic, Hulk was off-planet, and Thor was rebuilding Asgard in Oklahoma. However, the Pro-Reg side had a cyborg clone of Thor for taking out Anti-Reg heroes. So I guess that ragnarok dude stays alive from Civil War and goes into the Thor 3 movie
Ragnarok was one of the most stupid parts of the comic, so I doubt they'd include him in the film.
