"...the star of Marvel's risky new movie" Risky... how? It's Marvel. The brand itself is a license to print money.
Eh, it'll at least make more money than Fantastic Four. God, that's gonna be hilarious.
In this day and age where superhero movies are coming out the ass, making a new movie based on a near-unpopular character no one has ever heard of until this project's announcement, it is risky to make compared to when Iron Man 1 was made.
not for nothing, if guardians wasn't successful, i think ant-man would have more doubt to its success.
From that angle that helmet looks a lot like the Veteran Rangers' one except shiny and black. [thumb]http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100910162247/fallout/images/6/66/Nv-rifle-dude.jpg[/thumb]

I have mixed feelings about him riding insects
that is beautiful, it'll be great to see him around the avengers
I like it so far.
July, get here already.
Okay, that "Huh" was great.
It's cool that the writers acknowledged that Ant-man isn't that great of a name with the line "Is it too late to change the name". Had a pretty good laugh at that line. The trailer was pretty good, definitely looking forward to the movie!
April 10 is your “Daredevil” premiere date for #Netflix.
Will it come to all Netflix regions at the same time or will we have to wait 2 years?
April 10 is your “Daredevil” premiere date for #Netflix. #TCA15
Wait, I thought it was scheduled for May 4th? NOW MY PLANS ARE ALL MESSED UP!

The thing I love about Ant-Man thus far is that, compared to the other Marvel films we have seen, it doesn't seem like just another "call to heroism" and Paul Rudd is hardly a name you would consider in a super hero movie. It feels less like a super hero movie and more of a high-tech heist film. It will be great to see when Ant-Man inevitably stands alongside The Avengers and hear how useless they think he is until he really comes in handy. Plus, the suit looks awesome (more so without the helmet really).
It feels less like a super hero movie and more of a high-tech heist film.
Wasn't that exactly what they were aiming for in making this?
Wasn't that exactly what they were aiming for in making this?
Right, that's something I like about super hero movies these days, they don't feel like super hero movies all the time. Like how the The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises feel less like super hero movies and more like crime thrillers; likewise how The Winter Soldier felt more like a political thriller. It may be stating the obvious, but it's great coming out of a movie like this and thinking "Oh yeah, this is about a super hero."
Alright, some random news. Liked the music in those parts of Frozen when they weren't singing? Good news! Cristopher Beck, composer of Frozen and Edge of Tomorrow's soundtrack, will score Ant-Man. Guardians of the Galaxy got nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay by the Writer's Guild of America. This is a big thing, folks. Some interesting info about the Netflix series, courtesy of Chief of Content Ted Sarandos:
-Each Marvel Netflix series will be roughly one year apart; with the amount of time between each series ranging from 8 to 15 months. "We're not trying to hit a fall programming schedule or hit a grid number. We want to give them enough room and enough time to make a great show. I don't want to set up a rigid time table." - The most intriguing news emerging would be the fact that each of the Marvel Netflix series are elligble for additional seasons. "They're all eligible to go into multiple seasons for sure, and [we] contemplate that they will." -As far as what factors go into deciding what and how many of the series go into a second season, Sarandos stated that it depends on a number of factors. "Definitely in how well we are addressing both the Marvel fanbase but also the broader fanbase who may or may not ever get into one of these series because of their own preconceived notions. One thing we have [is] a really great history of [combining] the personalized merchandising and the subscription model that allows people to be a little more adventurous about what they watch. We may find that an audience way broader than the typical Marvel audience will try and fall in love with these shows and with the Marvel brand, and it will be universe-expanding for Marvel too."
And final piece of news is that Edgar Wright is no longer credited for Ant-Man's screenplay. The credits now go to Adam McKay and Paul Rudd himself. The duo worked on a rewrite for six weeks, which added 'a giant action sequence' and made Ant-Man 'a little bigger, a little more aggressive, and funnier in places.' Now this is not unexpected and unusual- the original screenplay for the Avengers, written by Zak Penn (X-Men Last Stand, X2) was completely rewritten by Joss Whedon, who eventually got the credit for it. Wright and Joe Cornish are still credited as 'story by' and have an 'executive producer' credit (which could mean something or absolutely nothing). As the guy who made a long ass post about Wright leaving let me just say that not giving Wright screenplay credit is a splendid idea and a damned if you do, damned if you don't. Keep his name in to appease the fans and you get accused of riding on his name for publicity and souring his name if the movie is bad- but if the movie is good people are going to go 'well that excellent part was definitely from Wright's script'.
"Giant action sequence", made him "a little bigger". Ten bucks says the climax reveals he can also grow.
Yeah now that I look back at it, I think it's pretty obvious the climax will reveal Ant-Man can also grow gigantic.
(more so without the helmet really).
but the helmet is the best part
Yeah now that I look back at it, I think it's pretty obvious the climax will reveal Ant-Man can also grow gigantic.
Does that mean he loses power the more he grows?
Does that mean he loses power the more he grows?
Uh, no. I think he just can grow big.
