It's from Age of Ultron:

You've been good so here's a new #IronMan poster from @Avengers. & on the DL, big announcement in 8 days… #getexcited

Also shouldn't Infinity War be before Civil War?
[sp]I mean Cap dies in Civ war..Right?[/sp]
He's facing in the wrong direction!
Kinda reminds me of those Call of Duty covers, with related text.
I think they should take it easy with effects on the posters. Almost all of them are unpleasant to look at.

Has this been figured out yet?
Did they make that specifically to be a reaction image?

Probably gave Aldrif some condition; or some other bs; this is just for ratings and OMG factor. They could have sent thor off to care of some shit on one of the other aesir holdings and just had BRB busy doing other shit, so Odin would appoint someone else over earth, who happened to be female.
Just bad writing in general.
Robert Downey Jr. teased a major marvel announcement on twitter:
"And don’t tell ‘em I told you, but there’s a big announcement coming in 8 days… Shhhhhhh… #getexcited"
I have a feeling it's going to be spider man related, unless he signed on to do more films.
I would say it's him announcing retirement but that would be no reason to #getexcited.
It's probably Civil War related. It's probably the Spider-man casting and announcement he's in the film. Maybe a title card for the new Spidey film too, along with the title. Have the actor come out on stage with Downey like they did with Boseman.

I'm still not sure on the rumours that Parker is getting a race swap to a black person or Latino.
On the one hand: If they cast somebody not white to play Parker then it should be because they had exceptional acting ability. I'm cool with that.
On the other hand: If they case somebody not white for the sake of diversity then that's just dumb.
If they were to do Miles Morales and make him black people would be pissed off. MCU is pretty faithful to character appearance so far, I'm sure it's just a rumour but I would prefer Peter and his family stay white. Then bring in Miles down the line. Far down the line. Parker has a superior story.
Make Peter his usual white and nerdy self, thrust into the public eye as Spider-Man during the events of Civil War.
Then have it revealed in a standalone Spidey movie that there's more special spiders that got jacked from Oscorp somehow, giving rise to a bunch of different Spider-People like Miles Morales, Ben Reilly, Anya Corazon, and maybe even Kaine.
Then you can make it a teamup flick.
Oscorp can be Spider-Man's "standalone movie enemy"; they're not the final boss, but they're the boss of the Spider-Man level, to use a pointless metaphor.
Do what Spectacular did, where all the villains he fights (Sandman, Rhino, etc.) are a result of Oscorp's science bullshit as commissioned by the Big Man of crime (you could even tie it into Daredevil and make Wilson Fisk the benefactor for the experiments).
Best course of action for them is to just keep it simple; don't try and make this Spider-Man radically different or explain where he was during the Battle of New York or any of that. Mention his origin or show an abridged version through a title sequence or something, then just have him show up. A new actor, emphasis on him being a teenager, just EXISTING in the MCU, and sticking closer to the source material will set him apart from all the other Spider-Guys we've seen on screen before.
How would you react if they revealed the new MCU Spider-Man was called: Spider-Man: Spiderverse?
Imagine it: you've got the new Spidey already set up from Cap 3, Toby Maguire, Andrew Garfield, then Donald Glover as Ultimate Spider-Man Miles, and Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen (as she's proven a popular actress AND spidey universe).
Everybody is happy. You've got Stone, Garfield and Maguire back on screen, with Glover as Miles and you still have a new kid too (what a poster that would make). It would be a great way to pass the torch to the new franchise, at the same time dialogue could be used to explain the similarities between the MCU Spidey Universe and the Garfield/Maguire ones. You can go "No Harry was never Goblin here..." or "Ock never died" or "yeah I work for the Daily Bugle too..."
Sony can still make their Sinister 6 movie if they really wanted to. I'd rather they didn't but they could.
And this way the previous two franchises still exist, unlike the current state of *jedi mind trick* "you never saw any other Spider-man movies"

Oh and we'd get to see Maguire, Garfield and the new one on screen together (in their unique suits). And it's always cool when Spider-Man does alternate universe stories.
that would actually be really neat.

I think it would be to confusing, which would take away from the Spiderman being set up for Marvel's universe.
Best to just wash away all the previous Spiderman stuff with some whiskey and start anew.
If they do a new Spidey movie they could do it like The Incredible Hulk. Without the parents/uncle Ben crap all over again.
But I guess people could get confused and assume it's a just sequel to TAS with recasts.
Wouldnt another origin movie be a little much? Cant he just appear in a small scene somewhere so we know hes coming?
Wouldnt another origin movie be a little much? Cant he just appear in a small scene somewhere so we know hes coming?
He's appearing in another Marvel Movie before he get's his standalone movie.
I think the companies also said they want to do another origin story, so they're setting him up w/ powers and such as a cameo in another movie (presumably Civil War).
Which apparently in the comics he revealed his true identity, which in the cinematic universe they could make the first movie about some villain hunting down his family.

[sp]Yes, but if Wikipedia is to be believed, the way they retcon it is absolutely bonkers.[/sp]
Didn't Marvel already say "no, we're not doing an origin story" like the day after they got the Spidey rights back?
Didn't Marvel already say "no, we're not doing an origin story" like the day after they got the Spidey rights back?
I don't think Marvel wants to do anymore origin stories in general, not just for Spidey

imo the new Spider-Man's origin story should be told in a couple of quick flashbacks at a couple of relevant times in the MCU Spider-Man movie, or maybe even in a Marvel One-Shot or something.
but he should be introduced to the universe in a couple of different MCU films before then.
Considering Donald Glover's relationship with the Russo brothers, and the fact they're helming the MCU from now on, him being cast as Spiderman wouldn't be a shock. I'd like it.

Except both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are supposed to be essentially kids and he's 30 years old. They already had the problem of Andrew Garfield ageing out the role way too quickly.
He voices Miles in the cartoon series. Outside of doing something with alternate realities like Spiderverse, that's the only way he will play the roll. JK Simmons also plays JJ in that series. I'd rather somebody much much younger and be Peter Parker not Miles. I still think dabbling in alternate realities would be a really original and interesting Spider-man film. It wouldn't be confusing, every time it's been done in comics/games/cartoons it's been really straight forward.
In other news I finally just read up on the email Spidey leaks. Wow. I love how Garfield literally did not give a fuck in the end. Dropping out of that high profile meal with Sony execs an hour before. He also hinted in interviews that the studio fucked up and got themselves involved with AS2 which is why it wasn't great. He explains how the original script was great and the finished film was and totally different in tone and quality to what he first read. Spiderman 3 all over again. I get the impression he was done. I hope Sony stays the fuck away from what Marvel does this time.
Why are we still acting like Miles still has a chance at being the on screen Spiderman
It's going to be Peter Parker, end of story
