• Why am I fucking fat?

When I want to lose weight I run an hour a day. [B]Including weekends[/B]. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] If you're too fat for running then walk or jog
Try taking 30+ minute walks. your body will start to break down fat after about 15-20 minutes.
I want to gain weight. :(

From what I heard, you can increase metabolism with different eating habits. Like eating varied, eating small but many (instead of few but large) meals. Avoid fizzy drinks (cola, energy drinks etc) and have a good breakfast. Don't starve yourself, because in the end you will probably only gain more weight. I also (think) I've a pretty low metabolism, but I try to keep weight gaining to zero by cycling to school and eating more healthy and less fatty foods. You should also not make an excuse out of your low metabolism. You can't really blame that you're fat on your metabolism.

I do nothing but sit on this PC for atleast 12 hours a day, and eat nothing but junk. And everyone still calls me skinny bones :(
I'm 168,8 cm so it's like 5'6 I think. I weight about 112.2 lbs :smith: I would like to weight more but my metabolism says "no".
Because the only exercise you get is lifting the cake to your mouth!
When I was a kid, I was very thin. I got fat around age of 13, but since few years I'm slim.
Go to the soccer field instead of general discussion. If you spent a quarter of the time you're on here you'll be less fat.

Sure it's good to eat right. What I belive it's not what you eat that is importent, it's the amount of food/calories you eat is importent.

I'm the opposite, i try to eat so much as i can but still i'm really skinny. Gotta start going to McDonalds everyday.
As said. Genetics, poor metabolism or lack of adequate and appropriate exercise on your part. See a doctor. I'm still expecting my own metabolism to slow down or vanish though and then my eating will catch up to me. Since I was a kid I've maintained the same relative figure and frame growing up. Look fine but not matter how much or how little I eat nothing changes and was known in the family as the Racing Snake whatever the hell that means for how my body processes fat compared to some of my siblings. Makes building muscle mass which I tried for 2 years an uphill battle to say the least :smith:
try doing both cardio and weightlifting, that should get you a good metabolism.
6'4'' and 190 lb
BMI doesn't tell everything. Adding 2-3 kgs would make me slighly overweight accoding to BMI. I'm really lean to be honest. Yet you can very clearly see my ribs between abdominal and intercostal muscles.
My ribs are dissapearing.. Stretch marks appearing on ass, but I've been gaining loads of muscle as well.
Another solution is to get deliberately fat, then upon reaching a large enough mass you will implode back into a normal size again.

The truth is that I know I'm skinny and try as I might, I can't do shit about it.

For some odd reason, I can eat whatever I want, and not get fat. I think it might have to do with metabolism levels.
