why don't you be really hardcore and just go to bed now.
It's 6am on day two. That would be admitting complete defeat.
Alright, I concede. Only so many people can tell me I'm being an idiot. I'll cut it down to the original five, I want to see if I can at least do that without being hospitalised.
So ends my first fun thread of the year...
It's 6am on day two. That would be admitting complete defeat.
to whom? the internet?
to whom? the internet?
Reality.
Reality.
what the fuck does that even mean
to whom? the internet?
Quit fucking caring so much.
OP is sleeping right now.
OP is here right now.
Quit fucking caring so much.
talk to the op, he cares about himself the least. staying up for 5 days is a slightly less horrible idea with no payoff except recognition from "reality".
When OP dies who gets his stuff?
You do realize that the guy who broke the world record went crazy, right? He started having hallucinations about spiders crawling on him and he became paranoid schizophrenic after he was treated.
When OP dies who gets his stuff?
I've had a will written for a while now.
talk to the op, he cares about himself the least. staying up for 5 days is a slightly less horrible idea with no payoff except recognition from "reality".
My god man what is with you, are you the OP's mother? Why do you care so much whether a stranger on the internet goes insane from lack of sleep?
You do realize that the guy who broke the world record went crazy, right? He started having hallucinations about spiders crawling on him and he became paranoid schizophrenic after he was treated.
No, I didn't. :ohdear: NOBODY TOLD ME THAT.
My god man what is with you, are you the OP's mother? Why do you care so much whether a stranger on the internet goes insane from lack of sleep?
because I'm human and have a vested interest in the wellbeing of others, unlike you. [editline]1st January 2011[/editline]
No, I didn't. :ohdear: NOBODY TOLD ME THAT.
actually we did multiple times, just not that exact situation.
after about day 4 you're not sleepy anymore, just physically tired if that makes any sense. [editline]1st January 2011[/editline]
I've had a will written for a while now.
can I have your tv?
I have two plasma screens.
When you're done, you can sleep in the large amount of boxes facepunch gave you, they keep you warm you know.
I can't go without sleep for more than 20 hours.
Don't be an idiot. This record is completely stupid . What would it get you? Nothing except a definitive brain disfunction.
I don't know if this has been pointed out but taking in caffeine will keep you going for a while but eventually when it wears off you will begin to "crash" as it were. You'll feel wrecked and you'll take more caffeine to overcome these effects, therefore creating an addiction to caffeine and adding to your already long list of things going horribly wrong with your body.
Okay I may be a little late to ze party, but you say this is in the name of science, but science already has a firm idea of what sleep deprivation does. You know, the whole 'loss of cognitive function followed eventually by either sickness or death'?
Edited OP. I don't want brain damage or hallucinated spiders, I'm fucking arachnophobic. :ohdear:
Paint some shit man, apparently sleep deprivation is a great hallucinogen.
Sorry @ Skellyhell and Bagminge, but thanks at the same time. :buddy:
No, I didn't. :ohdear: NOBODY TOLD ME THAT.
did you seriously thought you'd sleep it all off within a few days
No.
Ok, I'm gonna amputate my legs with a rusty saw. I mean, I bummed my little toe once, and I only cried for 30 minutes. I am fit for this!
No.

I'll make the 12th day, take a nap, and then return to daily life. Unless I end up in hospital on day eight.
Wait, it took you 12 pages of people telling you that you will hallucinate to actually realise that you will hallucinate with a lack of sleep?
