Why do Americans have such a love of the British (presumably the posh South variant) accent? I've got one, and quite honestly I despise it.

He compares it to the southern American accent, and how people apparently assume southerners are unintelligent fools.

If I'm nervous I usually unwillingly aqquire a scandinavian accent (im from Sweden), but if im confident I usually get more of a southern american accent (my dad's from North Carolina).

I'm pretty good with accents, it's all about practice, nothing else really. But yeah, brb going to USA to pick up some hot chicks with my sexy accent.

I do a terrible sterotypical "pip-pip cheerio" sort've accent (American here.) All of my friends think I've got it "Spot on." I don't even bother telling them it's a joke and that no one really talks like that across the pond. One of my friends can do a fairly good Cockney accent, which I want him to teach me.
